SPSF's Annual Report #2

Annual Public Report Release #2
South Pacific Special Forces
17/6/2017 - 20/7/2017

Dispatch version

And... as the title suggests, in this post, we will drown you with some very biased, boring and hard-to-understand data about the SPSF and its operations. The link to the statistical data is below this post.

Summary
During the past month, from 17/6/2017 to 20/7/2017, the SPSF saw a very high activity level, a stable and decent win rate, emergence of new, excellent players such as Serres, a substantial increase in the number of tag raids with a new raid organization, respectable stability in relationships with organizations such as The Grey Wardens, of course, all under the new leadership of our nicest and cutest Minister of Military Affairs Yun. The below is a detailed and boring analysis of the numbers.

Activity
The SPSF retained its very high level of activity with participation and operations at nearly every update. In total, there were 457 operations done by the team, with an overwhelming 70% are chasing and 22.8% are tag raiding. This secures the SPSF as an independent, heavy-defender-aligned military group. Yuno was the most active member, at 38 update participation count, the second was Nakari at 31, and third was Escade at 28, these are all the new faces in the SPSF of 2017. On the other side, Kawaii, Atlae, Doctor Kane had low activity level, mostly because they are very new members. The very familiar faces of defending: Roavin, USoVietnam, W&S, Somyrion had an average and decent level of activity with Roavin and USoVietnam coincidentally both at 22 update participation count, W&S at 19, and Somyrion at 16. Serres, the very new player, scored 18, which was excellent for a newcomer. The author of this report hopes the above members will keep or improve their activity level and all remaining members to get more active.

Operation
As an independent military, the SPSF continued to literally, do all sort of operations that exist. In 457 operations mentioned above, over 320 were tag defense operations and 104 tag raids. These two massive numbers can be explained because raiders are dedicate and were literally on and tagged at nearly all updates, there was hardly any update that was calm, wars happen everyday.
The new emerging small, but fast as f*ck raider group, LILY, tagged at every update with a large number of targets, drew some members of the SPSF to join them occasionally, made a boost in the count. Big occupation raid number is just 2, because the SPSF mostly raids Nazi and fascist regions, but in the past month, there were no non-founder Nazi or fascist regions to school so... it is a little bit sad in this category, but a wise man sees the ultimate fate of all Nazi and fascist regions in the near future. There were 15 casual liberations against really noobish raiders and a massive, partial success liberation in the region Ankh Mauta with over 63 defenders and independents fought against 60 raiders during Raidercon, one of the leadership positions in the operation was held by the SPSF. The effort in putting the native back to the delegate position was successful until the incompetent native forgot to log in and drain the raider swamp. Luckily, the founder was known to wait for a surprise revive so we didn't care about the region later on. As Raidercon ended, all the raiders retrieved back to their nest as it was virtually impossible to grief this region. And of course, there were 13 detags and 2 supports done when we were extremely bored. There were only one small operation done in the SPSF own Discord server though. This is expected among many defender and defender-aligned organizations because most of not all of defense operations were done in one joint Discord server.

Chasing
And here comes the hot topic which deserves its own section: Chasing (Tag defending). Anyone who has ever chased knows how hard it is. It requires fast Internet, fast reaction speed, rapid decision making and mouse movement. As a modern and defender-leaning military, the SPSF scored an average success rate of 37.54% with 7 success defenses and 12 fail defenses on average per update. This was excellent, giving that raiders moved at 2 to 5s speed. Of course, we must mention our fastbois and fastgirls when it comes to chasing. Serres holds the record for the fastest average chase speed, at 1 to 2s, this blows every professional defender away. Our girls Escade and Yuno, had a 4 to 5s chase speed, which was very fast and on par with professional, experienced defenders. We hope they will continue to improve their speed in the future. As for the fastest raider groups we had encountered, LILY and The Black Hawks are on the list.

Training and members
We collected around 9 newbies during the past month, with a huge help from the telegram bombardment of our Lampshade land. All of them provided a precious and substantial increase to our piling and liberation force.
Training still went in the traditional way, Somyrion and USoVietnam preferred to do step-by-step, interactive guide while our Queen Yuno liked to throw walls of text. Nearly all of them understood more about updates than half of the NationStates community, period. And of course, our new star is Serres as mentioned above. The new player Escade has continued to shine during the past month. Yuno continued to receive support and love from her subordinates. And you can't forget to mention our new General Roavin.

Relationships with other organizations
It is undoubtedly that we worked with the defender organization The Order of the Grey Wardens the most with over 57 updates. Some of the active members in the SPSF are The Grey Warden's members too and since we and they engaged operations routinely in the same Discord server, this number should make total sense. And of course, you must mention Lazarus and Renegade Islands Alliance for their second and third position. We have worked more with LILY, the new raider organization, recently. They brought the art of tagging to many, especially new members of the SPSF.  Other feeder armies like the New Pacific Order of the Pacific, East Pacific Special Army of the East Pacific and the West Pacific Armed Forces of the West Pacific also occasionally worked with us and we have maintained a good relationship with them. We're in a Win-Win state when it comes to military and foreign affairs.

Conclusion
The past month was very positive for the SPSF. If you haven't joined it, we recommend you to join it  Heart .
The below propaganda poster may convince you.
