What do you plan to do should you loose this election?

I agree that your campaign is impressive. I have not really heard of or maybe from you before this campaign.  What have you done in TSP recently or I guess what has your contribution been as a member of the community?

If you don't win the election, would you be willing to start some of your ideas as a non-elected member?

Thank you Escade for your question!

As I have said, I always strive since day 1 to be a productive and active member of The South Pacific. I have been a SPSF trainee for nearly a month now, I have also submitted an application to the MoFA to become an Ambassador to The West Pacific, however I have not yet received a reply from the MoFA. I have become more active in the Assembly's debate threads and have voted on every single bill since February. I started engaging in roleply in the Bantam Harbour before applying to become a legislator. I started my country's embassy program October/November last year.

If I don't win the election, I will still make sure that my Bzerneleg and the People's Agenda for the Assembly: An Agenda for Change gets passed through the Assembly as soon as possible to build an Assembly that works. Together.

My ultimate goal is to win the Chair election, pass Bzerneleg (me) and the people's agenda, and to bring real change to this legislature.

My friends, we have come to the end of a long journey. The legislators have spoken, and they have spoken clearly. A little while ago, I had the honour of texting Nakari to congratulate her.

In a contest as long and difficult as this campaign has been, her success alone commands my respect for her ability and dedication to this region. But that she managed to do so by faithfully executing the powers and duties reposed in her to the best of her ability is something I deeply admire and commend her for achieving.

This is an historic election, as we've seen one of the Chair elections with one of the, if not, the closest margin in the history of this region as a newcomer misses the throne by a tiny bit. Nakari has achieved a great thing for herself and for this region.

Nakari and I have had and argued our differences, and she has prevailed. No doubt many of those differences remain.

I urge all legislators who supported me to join me in not just congratulating her, but offering our Chair of the Assembly our good will and earnest effort to find ways to come together to find the necessary compromises to bridge our differences and help restore our prosperity, defend our region, and leave our fellow TSPers a stronger, better Assembly than we inherited.

Whatever our differences, we are fellow citizens of The South Pacific. And please believe me when I say no association has ever meant more to me than that.

It is natural. It's natural, today, to feel some disappointment. But tomorrow, we must move beyond it and work together to get this Assembly moving again.

We fought we fought as hard as we could. And though we fell short, the failure is mine, not yours. I am so deeply grateful to all of you for the great honour of your support and for all you have done for me.

I wish the outcome had been different, my friends. The road was a difficult one from the outset, but your support and friendship never wavered. I cannot adequately express how deeply indebted I am to you.

I'm especially grateful to my friend and Campaign Manager, Islands of Unity, and to the many dear friends who have stood by my side through the many ups and downs of this long campaign. I have always been a fortunate boy, and never more so for the love and encouragement you have given me.

To all my campaign comrades, Islands of Unity and Prarie, who fought so hard and valiantly, day after day, in what at times seemed to be the most challenging campaign in modern times, thank you so much. A lost election will never mean more to me than the privilege of your faith and friendship.

I don't know what more we could have done to try to win this election. I'll leave that to others to determine. Every candidate makes mistakes, and I'm sure I made my share of them. But I won't spend a moment of the future regretting what might have been.

This campaign was and will remain the great honour of my life, and my heart is filled with nothing but gratitude for the experience and to the legislators of the Assembly for giving me a fair hearing before deciding that our honorable Chair Nakari should have the honour of leading us for the next four months.

I would not be a TSPer worthy of the name should I regret a fate that has allowed me the extraordinary privilege of serving this region. Today, I was a candidate for the highest office in the Assembly of a region I love so much. And tonight, I remain her servant. That is blessing enough for anyone, and I thank the people of TSP for it.

Today, more than any day, I hold in my heart nothing but love for this region and for all its citizens, whether they supported me or Nakari. I wish Godspeed to the woman who was my former opponent and will be my Chair.

And I call on all citizens of The South Pacific, as I have often in this campaign, to not despair of our present difficulties, but to believe, always, in the promise and greatness of this region.

TSPers never quit. We never surrender.

We never hide from history. We make history.

Thank you, and God bless you, and God bless The South Pacific. Thank you all very much.

“Someone asked me...how it felt and I was reminded of a story that a fellow townsman of ours used to tell--Abraham Lincoln. They asked him how he felt once after an unsuccessful election. He said he felt like a little boy who had stubbed his toe in the dark. He said that he was too old to cry, but it hurt too much to laugh.” ― Adlai E. Stevenson II on losing a presidential election.
