[Discussion] Preservation of Endangered Mermaids Act
#1

There have been some concerning statements made about mermaids recently such as:

and this image taken of a "meal" ordered by a powerful and renowned TSPer dining at the Lampshade Bar and Grill:

it has become clear that there needs to be legislation to protect the endangered species of mermaids.

I ask your comments, discussion of and support of the following act:

0/100. Mermaids and Sirens are extremely dangerous creatures and should be hunted by the proper authorities so we can protect the citizenry.

I personally would like to properly tackle the possibility of hunting mermaid being legalized. This is an economic opportunity we can’t afford to miss.

I'd like us to replace mermaid with cat in some of those sentences and feel the fury and pain.

Lets not forget consuming the flesh of mermaids extends one's life by a lot. Who wouldn't relish the chance to see the progress or damage done centuries from now. So we refuse to support legislation stripping our rights to live long and prosper.

Support.

Mermaids are cool! Except for Ariel.

Are you telling me that you'd rather live between the ages 70~90 than live for 800 years while appearing young?
You're crazy!

I for one disagree with mermaids being likened to sirens. Therefore, I cannot support a bill that will continue to propagate this falsehood.

Plus, what am I supposed to do with my harem of mermaids if we implement this?

Proof, if any was needed, of the violent and hateful nature of mermaids. I implore the great legislators of this region to ensure that these cruel creatures are not the subject of any protection laws. Remember, if we protect the mermaids, we condemn ourselves to lives of pain and suffering.
Did some LC, MoRA, CRS stuff in the past. Do a lot of World Census stuff now.

I'd like to submit that the above was in response to the aforementioned mermaid having their tail nibbled. We all know that mermaid tails are particularly delicate and sensitive and feel many emotions.

I'd like to submit further evidence but there was so much that for now I will rest my case with this:
