Prarie for MoFA-To All the MoFAs I've Loved Before

- What NPO-like views do we have that you'd want to change? What NPO ties do we still have that you think we should sever? In which way are we still close to the NPO?
- How do you intend to react towards TEP who did not end their alliance with NPO?
- Can you explain why you think TSP and TWP are not close at this time?
- When you say "some of their closest allies are our closest allies" with respect to TWP/Euro, who are you referring to?
- In which way do you think we should be involved in the APC-NPO war?
- Is there anything in the campaigns for Prime Minister candidates over which you expect there to be conflict should both of you get elected?
thus giving them more FA experience. If an ambassador shows strong interest and is doing well at their job, we can promote them to FA Team. The FA Team will be a great way to give new players who work hard experience, and a way to have more effective decision-making processes.
2. I think that our closed-off FA policies have somewhat helped the NPO, as we have not even talked to people who oppose them because of things that we say get in the way. If we do keep an open mind, I think that collaboration with some APC bloc regions could be in the cards. Another way is that, and I'm sure we already do this, but go on zero military operations with the NPO's military.
3. I intend to really try to convince TEP to end their alliance with the NPO. No, not do shady stuff. Just push really hard on convincing them to sever ties with the NPO.
4. I've asked that question many times, and the answer I've gotten was that TWP did something we didn't like about 3 years ago, and because of that Davelands and Badger don't like us, and vice versa. And the reason we haven't gotten closer is that of people who are so closed-off that they wave TWP off because of something they did 3 years ago.
5. TNP, TRR (Europe), TEP, Lazarus. (TWP)
6. I think that, as mentioned before, we could have a meeting of some sorts with the leaders of the APC, and talk about what our strategy might be going forward. I don't intend to ask for a declaration of war on the NPO, but I think that getting work a bit more with the APC might be something we could consider.
7.  I think that you and I might have some differing opinions, Roav, but I don't believe that we won't be able to not work through any. You are one of the most talented FA brains in this region, and I will listen to what you have to say.
As for Rebs and Fox, no, I don't think there is anything that will cause friction between us.

7. I think it's a great idea! I don't think joining WALL would be the best move unless Balder
revokes their membership, but maybe we could convince TNP or Europe to join a bloc with say, us, TEP, and Laz.

Why do you think TNP would pull out of WALL?

To be honest, TNP and Europe are the strongest members of their bloc. So I think that we could convince Europe and TNP to join a bloc with some closer allies (TEP, Laz, us) who also have more power than Europeia, Balder, and the IDU.

I think you have a mistaken idea of why we aren’t close to TWP.

I am pleased to announce that I have earned the endorsement of Somyrion, aka Aumeltopia, the previous Minister of Foreign Affairs.

I didn't want to say anything but it's been bothering me ever since. During the debate, one of the questions was "Assuming a perfect world, what's the very first region, if any, you'd treaty up with post election?", to which you answered "The East Pacific". Well, we are actually formally allied to TEP via the January Accords. That on its own could just be a benign oversight or something, nobody's perfect, but then there was one answer where you stated Laz was an ally (which you edited out later). Later, in LegLounge, I asked you if you could define "ally", to which you replied "Someone who is close and is able to work with". I've used, and seen used, the term ally to usually refer to a region or organization with formal relations to us, with a treaty that assures mutual defense, encourages collaboration, and such.

Can you clarify how you view and understand the term "ally", how your understanding may differ from common usage, and how it applies to TEP and Lazarus?

And also, another thing that has been bugging me ... what movie are those GIFs from? Tounge

Before, I viewed the term 'ally' as, like I said, a region who is close and able to work with. However, I learn something new in FA every day, like I said. I think my open mind got the better of me there! Now I completely understand that we define ally as, like you said, a region with formal relations. This definitely applies to TEP, and I hope it can apply to Laz going forward.
And the GIFs are from To All the Boys I've Loved Before. It's on Netflix Wink

How does an alliance with Lazarus fit within your vision for the South Pacific’s foreign policy?

We had a great friendship with the CU, and this is the closest we've had to a CU government in Laz for a while. I think that Laz would definitely be open to a further friendship.
Lazarus would also fit well into a WA alliance in the future, and is part of a new bloc of regions i'd like to get closer to. (Laz, Europe, etc.)

Your opponent argues that a more careful approach should be used regarding a future relationship with Lazarus, on account of the past actions of its leader while she was Vice Delegate of this region. What do you say to that?

I think that that is a fair point, however, like my opponent has said, Imki has been nothing but professional in negotiations with Laz. I think that Imki has changed, like everyone, and has done a fantastic job as Delegate of Lazarus. We should also note that A. Laz is not just Imki, and B. One of our own most trusted nationals is Deputy MoFA there, and would not betray his home.
