match analysis

Miki Fushimi (MF): One of the most intense football battles in Huawan. A battle royale between Huawan and Hazelburg to attain the win to advance in the Women's Semifinals.

Frank Lucca (FL): People were on the edge of their seats as tensions increase between the two teams as both tried to score over the other in a great display of offensive capabilities. While Hazelburg certainly gained an edge in the first half of the match, Huawan gained it in the second half.

MF: A goal after another are racking on each side of the party, and for the last ten minutes both teams tried to go over the other in the game while structuring an impenetrable defense. However, a longball and a sneak by the captain was done, and it took a shot against the goalkeeper to take a 5-4 lead over Hazelburg, taking a position in the threeway semifinals.

FL: Hazelburg certainly played brilliantly against the Peonic team, and were able to break the Peonic defense multiple times. Unfortunately the time was simply not enough to create an opportunity to equalize, and therefore ends the match.

Quarter Final Group B:

match analysis

MF: The Kai Fa and Sorbkraia match was a marriage of offense, defense and a clash of possession. Time went by on the first half of the match with severe offensive capabilities against each other, and upon the last minute, a corner kick and a heading by Kai-Fa managed to score.

FL: Of course there was another half where Sorbkraia would be able to score. With a famed offensive capability in the earlier rounds, it was predicted that an equalizer is in the highest probability. Upon entry of the second round, Kai Fa provided a rather different strategy.

MF: A conservative defense was in play in the next round, it was apparent that Kai Fa were trying to wear down their opposition and maintain their lead in the second half. As such, while Sorbkraia went on with a heavy assault against the Kai-Fa side of the playing field, they are unable to penetrate an increasingly difficult defensive position set by Kai-Fa.

FL: There was however a goal that Sorbkraia shot which went through to the goal. However, upon consultation with the Video Assisted referee system, it was revealed that the goal was an offside offense, and therefore invalid. Advancing Kai-Fa to the three-way semifinals

match analysis

FL: The Rebeltopian team had a strong start in the match by inciting a multi defensive line and starting an offensive.

MF: Unfortunately upon the tenth minute, and amazing punishment was given by the Tribekistan team. Goal after goal was bombarded against the Rebeltopians, and continuous possession and control certainly provided Tribekistan an edge against their opponents.

FL: Tribekistan certainly went out of their comfort zone and went into a massive offensive tactic, one that warranted them a 0-10 lead against Rebeltopia. Tribekistan also took down Sedunn as the team with the most scores in the 2019 FWC.

MF: There is certainly large potential of such an adaptive team like Tribekistan, and it made them advance in the threeway semifinals.

Summary

FL: We now have a result on the quarter finals, and the threeway semifinal shall begin. The three teams shall fight for a position in the standing, either for a position on the finals, or the bronze medal. Victory is in sight, and a new level of competition shall begin in the next match.

HUAWAN ADVANCES TO THE SEMIFINALS

In an astonishing game of see-saw football, Huawan manages to clench a tremendous win against Hazelburg and would advance to the semifinals. A goal by number 8, midfielder Demea So-Hyun advance themselves over the equalizer and ultimately into the finals.

Kai Fa players celebrating their advancement to the finals.

Miki Fushimi (MF): The threeway semifinals ended with a total and decisive victory for Kai Fa.

Frank Lucca (FL): Kai-Fa advanced this game to take nothing less than a win, as such a massive aggressive effort were given against their opponents. Handing out the Peonic team's first loss in the Women's FWC and total destruction against the Tribekistan team.

MF: It was clear that Kai-Fa were in it to win, as such it did not pull its stops. Punishing the Peonic team with a 2-0 lead and retaliating a penalty shot by Tribekistan with a 4-1 lead.

FL: The semifinals was certainly a testing time against the Peonic team and the Tribekistan team. While both had larger possession against Kai-Fa, a more aggressive offensive did them in. While at the cost of several yellow cards, Kai-Fa took the position to play in the finals.

MF: With both having an equal standing, both Peonic and Tribekistan battled it all out in the last match of the semifinals. A win was needed to advance in the finals, and as such, both provided a tremendous offensive and tremendous defensive.

FL: With both teams exhausted, they came out of the game without a score. As a result, were in a draw.

MF: With a tie in standings, advancements shall be decided by Goal Difference. With just a one goal number ahead of Tribekistan, Huawan advanced to the finals, and Tribekistan earned third place for the Women's FWC 2019.

Match Summary

FL: Analysts see that Kai-Fa had Huawan figured out, and if the reigning champions were to maintain their title, a new strategy must be drawn up, and fast. As for Kai-Fa, whatever Huawan would try to concoct, a contingency must be made to take their reign. This is going to be one written in history.

Finals:

Finals Ceremony

The lights turned on, and begun the finals. A start that was marked with a traditional song of old, one played since the Feng Dynasty. One that certainly induced memories and calmness before a storm that would come



The sound of guitars begin as La Soleil gave the Huawan FWC theme song. The lights shone on the stage, and begun one of the FWC theme songs



Performers then came out and with flags as well as lion dancers. Dancing around and providing much needed passion and excitement for the finals. Spectators came from those that could afford their seats, and spirits of those who couldn't which watched from their screens. The Peony sat in the executive booth, along with Brother Lo Pol.


The songs were sung loud and it certainly was motivating for the people to celebrate the finals. With it happening on the same day as the last day of ramadhan, it was a celebration of victory. Not necessarily to win the FWC.


Then came the ribbon dancers, one that adorned the entire stage with colorful ribbons and celebration. Performers came in one by one to provide the encore for the last rounds of the Women's 2019 FWC.

As the performers end, it was retracted. Then the sound of the flute begun the entry of the players.

Side by side, the daughters of Kai-Fa and Huawan walked in tandem to the center of the field. Escorted by the sounds of violins and the cheers of their respective countries. Then the song started, one that was sung by pirates before battle in the Peo-Sedunnic wars, and one that became the basis of the national anthem.



With the anthems finished, the spectators cheered loudly, and a toss commenced the game. A new champion shall be chosen in the royal stadium once more.

Miki Fushimi (MF): The Peonic team had a horrible first half in their finals match, as Kai Fa scored a penalty in the second minute of the match. Possession were theirs but Kai-Fa players certainly had an upper edge against their competition.

Frank Lucca (FL): They simply have a better formation than their opponents, and were able to coordinate around the Peonic mixed defensive. When Huawan tried to score, Kai Fa had a n eight men defensive, making an impenetrable defense.

MF: The game went on with Kai-Fa trying to conserve their score, believing that further aggressive approach would be enough to turn the tables against them. And it went on until the end of the second half.

FL: We see an entirely different aura on the second half by the Peonic team, and there was a rather interesting cheer that I noted from the Peonic spectators. A recital in... arabic?

MF: Ah! You must mean the Takbeer. Well in coincidence with Eid, the Peonic spectators apparently brought some drums to recite the takbeer. The takbeer is recited in the first day of the islamic new year, and marks victory.

FL: So it's like a victory cry?

MF: We have seen many of it used for such a purpose, and there was a new vibe in that stadium now. We see it going on rather greatly, and there was a driving momentum in the Peonic team.

FL: After a goal to equalize, Huawan needed to advance over the equalizer. Kai-Fa launched an offensive, but Huawan did many actions to steal the ball and ammount an offensive.

MF: Reaching a 3:1 lead by the end of the time. The Peonic team cheered in joy as the reigning champions successfully defended their title!

The Victors once more!

The Peonic team clenched an astonishing victory over Kai-Fa in the finals and was able to reign as champion for another year. The sounds of celebration for the win in the finals were in tandem with the joyous celebration of the first Islamic new year.

The Drawing Date is set!

It seems like a long time, but in only one week the groups of the Men's FWC get drawn according to the official world ranking, which will place the countries in their respective pots. The excitement in GI-Land to host this tournament again is high and all people hope that the international guests will feel welcomed as much as last year. The teams start to arrive already and move in their quarters. The Gianlucian team chose a rural quarter near Neustadt, while the Snollandian team trains in Freudstadt.
The goal is clear: Snolland wants to win the FWC for the first time, GI-Land of course wants to defend their title once again.
Surely they'll hope for an easy group next Wednesday.
