Please be advised that the vote to amend Article 1 of the Criminal Code has been opened. The vote has been designated in the Assembly's official record as A1907.03 and referred to in full as Criminal Code Amendment (Electoral Fraud).

Legislators,

Please be advised that the vote to amend Article 1 of the Criminal Code has passed.

The final tally is 36 in favour, 2 in opposition, with 13 abstaining, for a total of 51 votes.

The vote was passed with 94.7% voting in favour, exceeding the requirement for a simple majority of those voting with the exclusion of abstentions.

Has the chair determined if this requires being passed gameside, as there may not be time to poll on this ahead of the LC elections (for which nominations opened yesterday)?

Thanks for the question @Volaworand. I believe these changes are more so general criminality than relating specifically relating to gameside and thus does not require a vote. Comparatively, the current discussion on influence prerequisites for WA voters will have to go to a gameside vote if and after it passes the Assembly; and a statement to that effect will be published in the debate thread before such a vote.
