Miravana For Minister of Military Affairs!!
Who Miravana?
Hi! I am Miravana, or as some refer to me, Mira! I have been a member of the SPSF since October and have been interested in serving the region ever since! Those who know me know I love to have fun, and I would continue to push these values if elected as Minister

Why Miravana?
I have an extensive military background, with SPSF, The Grey Wardens, and AIR/FORGE. I have held leadership positions in the AIR and FORGE defender organizations, and am currently an officer here in SPSF, the only officer+ currently declared for this election!

What Miravana?
You may be asking what I plan to do if elected, and it's pretty simple: bolster numbers and have fun. Through my experiences in many different defender organizations, I have often noticed a military having fun is the military that is the most active. This drive will base recruitment on the immersion enjoyment and fellowship SPSF offers soldiers. While I intend to uphold every level of advanced training we deliver, I hope to reiterate the fun everyone should be having, this is a game after all!

When Miravana?
Well, hopefully now! But that is up to you, by voting for Mira in the election! I hope to be working for you soon! Smile

No Current Conflicts of Interest: Past involvement in a multitude of defender-oriented and independent regions.

Greetings!

You definitely seem to have the right attitude going into things and I appreciate that you have experience within the South Pacific Special Forces itself as well as abroad in foreign defender militaries across NationStates. That being said, a few questions please:

Firstly, you mention that you plan on bolstering numbers if you’re elected to office. Might I inquire as to how you intend to go about this? Do you have any particular approach that you’d like to employ for recruitment when conducting your duties as Minister of Military Affairs? I know that you said you will base this off of immersion enjoyment and the fellowship you all have to offer. Those are both very good components to add to the military’s atmosphere once a new recruit arrives, but my question asks more so how do you intend to see and increased number of recruits enter the military to begin with?

All and all, you seem to have presented yourself well here. I wish you the best of luck!

Thank you for the response and questions, I'll clarify some things for you!

The current recruitment system has been working fairly well so far and only minor changes would need to be made to increase the number of trainees coming in. The real work that needs to be done lies in training and encouraging these new members to stay involved in the military. I refer to encouraging enjoyment as my plan towards bolstering numbers for this reason. While I would still like to encourage a slight uptick in the number of recruits we have coming in, my main agenda is increasing the number of active troops we have.

If you have any further questions don't hesitate to ask! ^_^

Good luck with your campaign Mira, you're doing good work.

A few questions from me:

- How will you balance the obvious tension between new nations wanting to build endorsements and influence within TSP itself and recruiting for the SPSF? Have you considered any specific ways of recruiting or promoting the SPSF?

- The SPSF seems to do a great job of training individuals to officer level, but it tends to be those individuals who have immersed themselves in the defender community as a whole. How will you encourage both better levels of training and interest/activity from a wider group of recruits?

A few answers Smile

- I personally understand the difficulty of choosing which branch of Nationstates you wish to immerse yourself in and it is important that when recruiting, I do not turn a blind eye to all the other wonderful aspects of life within TSP. Since TSP is not purely a military organizations, I prefer to brand SPSF as an additional way to get involved within the region.  My opposing candidate has done a beautiful job as recruitment officer and I would not be wanting major changes made to his department if elected. My main goal is to finish the process after recruitment of the complete training of soldiers to the point that they can become active updating members

- Usually, members who immerse themselves more fully in the defender community are those who will become officers as the understanding necessary to receive the rank of officer requires that experience only someone immersed in the culture receives. My main goal is to get trainees to the position where they are immersed within the defender culture and can be valuable assets in liberations and operations. However, it is still imperative to provide opportunities for those who have less interest in being members of the active force. Because of this a revitalization of Tidal Force will be on my agenda if elected, along with the appointment of more Enlisted Staff whose main priorities are focused around integration and development of all aspects of SPSF, therefore creating opportunities for advancement in SPSF even for those who are not as involved in the "defender culture" so to speak.

Abandoning My Campaign:

Fellow TSPers, it comes with a heavy heart that I tell you I will not be continuing a campaign for MoMa. I have recently learned that over the coming months I will have less and less time for SPSF and I do not feel it is fair to pursue this position knowing that. Thank you for those who support me and my apologies for those who wished me elected. My opponent, South Asians, is a capable candidate and I support his campaign fully.

- Mira
