2020 Anserisan General Election Special Coverage

Good evening and welcome to this ALA Special Program, the 2020 Anserisan General Election Coverage. The campaign started on May 2nd. The Socialist Union, is seeking a fourth consecutive mandate in the National Convention, while seeking its second mandate in the Council of Regions. The Republican Alliance is not far behind and there are many three-way races ahead with the Conservative Coalition leading in some of the regional electoral districts.

Anserisans, you had a month to make up your mind, tonight, we unveil your choice and tomorrow, Anserisan may wake up with a new government. This is your electoral night 2020.

Polls are closing now, it is 8h00 pm and ALA makes its first prediction, in Branta-Centro, where Conservative leader, Formoso Gochium is expected to win.

It is still too close to call, especially without the results for the Council of Regions, as soon as they are up, we will update the situation. We hope you have a good electoral night on our network.

As the results are slowly getting out, we have now confirmation that the Socialist Union is getting a second mandate in the Council of Regions, there has been no changes in the number of seats allocated for each political party. We also have news in Regina that Romana Madisum is reelected for a fourth term.

The Republican Alliance is now leading over the Socialist Union with a potential gain in the electoral district of Cardellina, where Maria-Marcella Régulum is now leading over the incumbent Representative of the Conservative Coalition.

Without any surprises, in Céruléa-Aquila, the only electoral district disputed by only two candidates, Thérasia Landrum, leader of the Republican Alliance is elected, she could become the new General Representative of Anserisa is her party is elected tonight. It is still too close to call with both parties being tied.

Council of Regions results confirmed by the Anserisan Electoral Organization Administration, the Socialist Union, led by Magnuso Iousium is reelected at the head of the Council.

With the many electoral districts counting, a special surge coming from the first reports from many electoral districts from Brantavilla, we can confirm that in Calpurnio-Fabricium, the Socialist Union is once again winning a seat with the reelection of Cétana Lobum.

With a surprise win in the electoral district of Gubernata, even putting incumbent Representative to the third place in the district, the Socialist Union is taking a good lead to win this fourth mandate.

ALA is making the prediction that the Socialist Union is going to win the election in the National Convention and that they will retain the majority. This means that the Socialist Union keeps the majority in the Congress.

There is only one race that is too close too call and it is the race in the Nova Brantavilla electoral district where Socialist candidate is trailing just behind the Republican candidate by a few votes and one voting box is still to be opened.

Here is a brief of the electoral changes so far tonight.

No changes in the Council of Regions, the Socialist Union is getting more than half of the popular vote but no change in seat. Claudio Ménouarium, former Vice-Presidential candidate is elected as a Councillor for Branta.

Big win for the Republican Alliance in Cardellina where Maria-Marcella Régulum won over the incumbent Conservative candidate. This would mean a one-seat gain in this general election.

The Socialist Union is the great victor of the night, not only were they able to maintain their majority, they were able to get a key victory in Gubernata, with a victory over the Conservative incumbent.

Undeniably, the Conservative Coalition has lost a lot, two seats exactly, one to the Republicans and one to the Socialists. Formoso Gochium as yet to state his intentions to remain party leader or not.
