[VOTE TERMINATED] 2008.1: Commission Act
#1

Legislators,

A proposal has been introduced to enact the Commission Act.

The debate thread can be found here.

A motion and a second have been received to bring this legislation to a vote.

As this is a general law, the voting period is three days and will require a simple majority of those voting in favour to pass, with the exception of abstentions. The vote will end on the 14th of August, 2020, at 11:20 p.m. (UTC)..

Please vote by poll if possible. If you cannot vote by poll, post 'Aye', 'Nay' or 'Abstain' in this thread. Please do not vote both by poll and by post. Comments and discussion belong in the debate thread and may be moved there.

I motion to cancel voting on the bill on the grounds that at least one clause of this bill is unconstitutional and contradictory to the Charter. Article 3, Section 5 of this bill is in direct contradiction to Article VIII, Section 1 of the Charter.

This vote is farce and the point has been made. I also second the motion to cancel.
