Welcome to the official thread for the North Cordillian Union. This thread will be filled with updates on passed laws in the North Cordilian Parliament and other information, such as application forms. A session of the North Cordilian Council can be called by any nation for a valid reason or to introduce a new bill. Each member state will send one councilor only. Member states must be on North Cordilia, the western part of the Central Islands or the western part of the Rainbow Islands. Observer states may become an observer even if they are not on the aforementioned areas. Applications must be posted in this thread. The logo is an abstract map of the area embedded into a butterfly.

Observers may observe NCU activities and meet in the North Cordilian Council, however all laws passed in the North Cordilian Parliament do not automatically apply to them, and observer states are unable to participate in the North Cordilian Parliament. However, observers are able to allow the North Cordilian Judicial Court to have jurisdiction for civil cases in the observer state's law or the regional law.

Dear Honorable Representatives of the North Cordilian Union,

The Democratic Commonwealth of North Prarie is impressed and fascinated by the foundation of the North Cordilian Union. However, the Commonwealth is saddened by the fact that North Prarie is not an eligible member state, as it considers the country a member of the region of North Cordilia, albeit a bit to the southern part.

The Democratic Commonwealth would like to ask that the Republic of Besern and the NCU make an exception, and allow North Prarie into the Union as a member state. As a top nation in Pacifica in agriculture and tourism, and a growing economic powerhouse, North Prarie would be an incredibly valuable member of the Union.

North Prarie is also currently facing hard times. A terroristic revolution is ripping through the country, that has the potential to take the lives of many, many more Prarieans. Membership into the NCU would provide stability and international support and ties to the country.
As such, our application for membership into the NCU is attached to this letter. We sincerely hope we wil be considered.

The Ryccian Federation has been officially inaugurated into the North Cordilian Union as a member.

The map of eligible member states has been revised and adjusted to include the northern areas of Central Cordilia. No other adjustments south will be considered. The southern limit for eligibility is now 25° south. 

As such, The Commonwealth of North Prarie has been officially inaugurated into the North Cordilian Union as a member.
