[PASSED] A2012.04 Amendment to the Judicial Act (Frivolous Cases)

Legislators,

There has been a seconded motion to bring an amendment to the Judicial Act to vote. The debate thread can be found here.

As this is an amendment to a general law, it requires a simple majority to pass. The voting period will last 3 days, ending on December 17 at 5:35 UTC. (5:35 in London, 00:35 in New York,16:35 in Sydney)

3. Case Procedure

(2) The High Court will determine with reasonable speed whether a case is justiciable. If found justiciable, a justice will be assigned to the case, otherwise the case is unappealably dismissed.
a. Provided there is unanimous agreement, the High Court may unappealably dismiss an otherwise-justiciable case it considers to be frivolous.
