Why is our Delegate voting to commend our couper?

Which is probably the biggest confusion I have around the whole thing. Why was she not banned and why did she even get to serve as MoMA after the coup?

I think this is an understandable question. As Glen has made apparent (and Kris below), we — and I'll admit I was a prime driver of the thought — thought reconciliation was possible for all involved. As I mentioned, it hindsight I've come to see it as a bad decision and the fact that all involved are still upset years later is really indicative of that.

As someone who isn't that involved, I'll give my perspective on this.

Frankly embarrassed that I voted for this commendation and I will freely admit I did so because I wasn't aware of the history here.  I'm a (relatively) new member of the TSP in that I don't have much more than five years here...so I didn't "live through" this event.  If I had been made aware, I most certainly would have voted against.

But as to what happened, I've been fairly busy lately and so when I saw this resolution come up for vote, I did a quick read-through and it seemed like a good resolution to vote for.  And so I did.  When I have more time, I'll try and read the forum thread, but didn't this time.  Went to vote, saw majority of TSP citizens voted yes, so I did as well.  In this case, I was your standard low-information voter.

I do feel annoyed that I voted "for" in this case and do most certainly wish more information had been made available to the TSP general populace in this case.  This is an embarrassment for TSP, especially the airing of our dirty laundry to the world.  We already have a bad enough reputation in GP, no need to add to that.

Not generally like this, but I feel it's worth it to put this into evidence, just in case anyone thinks Imki has any contrition for past actions in the region.

EDIT: Just saw Glen posted this is Discord, so to be clear, we posted independently of each other.
