There has been a seconded motion to bring an Amendment to the "Elections Act" to vote. The debate thread can be found here. As this is a constitutional law, it requires a supermajority (greater than three-fifths) to pass. The voting period will last 5 days, ending on July 29th at 01:00 UTC (02:00 in London, 21:00 (on July 28th) in New York, 11:00 in Sydney). Please vote by poll if possible. That seems like a reasonable modification of our election laws to make allowances for SPSF members. I am voting in favor.

The vote has been closed. There were 32 votes in favor, 6 in opposition, and 11 abstentions. The proposed amendment to a constitutional law has met the necessary threshold and will be able to move forward in the process, gaining 65.31% support counting abstentions, and 84.21% support discounting abstentions.
