AUGUST 2021 CHAIR OF THE ASSEMBLY ELECTION

ELIGIBILITY

In order to vote in this election you must meet the following conditions:

Become a legislator no later than August 18 at 12 AM (UTC).

Retain legislator status throughout the election.

You may not vote in this election if you became a legislator after the start of the declarations period or if you ceased to be a legislator in the intervening period.


HOW TO VOTE

Voting will be conducted using Approval Voting with a single winner, where voters may vote for one or multiple candidates to the extent that they approve of them. Article 5 of the Elections Act stipulates:


You must vote by listing all the candidates that you approve, however many or few, without regard to any order of preference. If you do not approve any of the candidates, you may list the option to re-open nominations instead of listing any candidate.

You may cast your vote your in one of two ways:

Casting a public ballot by voting in the form of a reply to this thread. Your vote will be publicly available and may be seen by all.

Casting a private ballot by voting in the form of a private message to the Vote Collector account. Your vote will remain private and will be published without your name, so that it cannot be related to you.

Voting shall begin on August 23 at 12 AM (UTC) and conclude on August 26 at 12 AM (UTC) (click for countdown).

Please consider time zone differences when reviewing the deadline for this stage in the election. It is your responsibility to ensure that you comply with all legal requirements within the mandated time frames (click for time zone conversion).

Please note that, once cast, a ballot cannot be changed. Any attempt to change your vote will result in its invalidation.
