Do we really need this? I mean, any legislator can go and correct "typographical errors, grammatical errors, naming or formatting inconsistencies" by proposing it in the assembly, and since the chair needs to present the corrections to the assembly, it effectively means that the chair needs to go through the same process as any other legislator.
Not exactly the same - the legislator's has to go through a vote, while the chair's doesn't, which saves us from half of our votes being on "this needs a comma"
Wouldn't that be beautiful though? I can totally imagine a legislator proposing to add a comma, then others rallying opposition on how the comma is immoral and completely exploits the intended purpose of our charter, then us trying to make a big deal out of it and giving the issue dramatic names like "comma-gate".
Truly, this is the government we never knew we needed
