Brief: Amending the terminology applied in a law
Relevant legislation: Regional Communications Act & Judicial Act Proposal: Currently, section 3 of the Regional Communications Act stipulates that: 3. Infractions Wrote:(1) Infractions may be brought before the Permanent Justice in a court case. For the duration of the court proceedings, the Delegate may suspend the mass communication capabilities of the accused. In light of the Judicial Act having reorganised the judiciary to comprise of the Chief Justice and at least two Associate Justices, section 3 should be revised to reflect the High Court as a whole. Proposed amendment Wrote:(1) Infractions may be brought before the Permanent Justice High Court in a court case. For the duration of the court proceedings, the Delegate may suspend the mass communication capabilities of the accused. |
