I fully concur, but I'd rather make a mountain out of a molehill now rather than leave the door open for someone to do that in the future. That's certainly happened before, and oftentimes involves the political context of a vote hanging int eh balance.
I just don't see much of a point in arguing about the semantics of "definite" and whether it means a leave must be specified down to the hour. It seems the same like arguing about the meaning of "five days".
