| The Distress Call |
A lieutenant called out on the intercom system to the bridge that a man-made object was sighted. The ship, the Olius, proceeded to fish the object out of the water, and attempted to analyze it on shipboard labs.
The explosion brought the whole fleet to alert and while the Hurricane's recovery team searched for debris the fleet was ordered to check for mines.
The commander swore at how unnaturally fast such a severe storm had beset them, and how suddenly it had forned. With their planes long since called back and their equipment experiencing interference, the command ordered the fleet to disengage and continue along its original western trajectory beyond the storm. Below the winds of the storm the submarine neared the search area, beginning its scan.
The Darkstrait navy will send in the submarines Vulture, Hawkseye, and Impetus to assist in the search for the missing ship. When the storm abates, the 3rd Helicopter Reconnaissance Squadron will begin scanning the site as well.
The destroyer KSS Endurance has found two objects similar to the ones found by the Sporaltryan ship Olius. We're contacting the Sporaltryan fleet for information about the objects. The only thing we can confirm is that the objects are, in fact, man-made.

The reconnaissance helicopters are preparing for takeoff. In addition, we are sending the research ships Prometheus and Odysseus to assist in the investigation of the strange objects found by the fleets of Sporaltryus and Karnetvor.

The storm was still raging in the search area bringing with it chilly winds.
Operations Coordinator Grevve Klarann: "To all units: Sedunnic navy analysts have with the help of your observations concluded what those exploding objects are. They are dismantled naval mines, most likely from the collapsed nation Transsuneria west of the Govenment Island. Since this nation has fallen into anarchy and has several self-appointed governments we believe it will be hard to get an official explanation. This is an issue for our governments, in the mean time we are glad to now have participants from the Darkstrait navy with us as well. We have to assume one or both of the missing ships have hit a mine, but the more positive news is that we expect the storm to pass tomorrow. So what we will do now is to wait for the governments' responses and continue our search." Scattered all over the search area, the ones of the orange objects that still worked sent an erratic homing signal. If more closely observed, they were all marked with the emblem of the Transsunerian Navy or the somewhat different emblem of the Navy of the Federation of Transsuneria. Ryccia's Units: Ryccian units could on a depth of 250 m detect a debris field several 100 meters wide, in the vicinity of some underwater rocks. Some of the debris could be recognised as partly dismantled mines. Darkstrait's Units: The Prometheus could observe several floating wooden crates astern and homing beacons belonging to a ship called Hermes. Karnetvor's and Farengeto's Units: Units from both navies could detect a ship at a high speed headed directly to Transsunerian shores. Sporaltryus: An older propeller aircraft from Transsuneria (a model previously used by the Air Force of the Federation of Transsuneria in the 70's) called the air traffic control requesting permission to land while approaching Sporaltryuan aerospace.
The researchers aboard the Prometheus opened the crates. Within, carefully packaged, were small vials of various powders and liquids. Analysis is continuing on these.
The submarines have begun searching the ocean bottom for the Hermes or other downed ships in the area. The recon helicopters are flying low, with sonar units dangling beneath the waves. The Darkstrait navy will, if necessary, call in the submarines Optic and Nyx to aid the other countries involved in the search.

The bridge crews were visibly annoyed by the discovery of Transunerian equipment, the former nation's pirate long having been thorns in the side for Farengeto's shipping.
The engineers were even less excited, realizing that these mines were the decades old primitive kind, lacking any modern sensors and being indiscriminate in what caused their detonation. Unabke to identify the ship visually and all aircraft grounded by the now near-Hurricane strength winds, the Farengeto fleet repeatedly attempted to hail the ship and when no reply was given the Farengeto redirected the Eclipse to intercept at weapons ready and authorized to fire warning shots. The rest of the fleet continued to try and evade the storm, all 3 ships continuing to scan for mines.
We have sighted the Transsunerian ship; the KSS Endurance tried to contact it, without success. The ship doesn't reply to any calls. We were unable to follow it due to the storm.
The destroyer KSS Spirit recently collided with a mine; fortunately it only caused minor damages, and the ship can be repaired on the site.

The Darkstrait navy will send the submarine Clairvoyant after the Transsunerian ship. Clairvoyant is equipped with advanced sonar, scanning, and communication equipment and should be able to find and keep up with the vessel while broadcasting its position to Farengeto and Karnetvor, as well as notifying the other ships of mines.
