Creation of a Watch List

Admittedly I agree about Liz and I'd be okay with removing Jakker from the list if he apologised for the remarks and his participation in the coup and showed some kind of behavioral change. As far as I'm aware he was trying to turn over a new leaf last time I checked. His history is far less extensive than most of the others on the list.

I agree, and that could be doable - Xor would be a good point of contact for Jakker in that regard. He's legitimately in a few of the feeders and sinkers now.

I can see the benefit in such a list for an inexperienced Vice-Delegate and the importance of the link between the MoFA and the CSS in it's compilation.

That being said, if such a list exists it is a potential tool for people within TSP with grudges to exploit. I would hope that such a list would:

(a.) For clarity be accompanied with a statement that being on the list wouldn't affect recourse to the usual mechanisms for appeal for denial of citizenship.
(b.) Have some sort of formal mechanism for contesting being added to the list (appeal to the CSS? Assembly?)
(c.) Not be in the gift of a single individual to put a name on the list. (again a CSS or Assembly decision?)

For transparency I guess I'd favour this being a public list as well.

My personal view is such a mechanism should not be a political decision (i.e. Cabinet) or a judicial decision but a security decision (CSS or Assembly).

I agree with the list, however I would recommend adding Milograd on the list as well. At the end of the day I don't care how the Parole ruled treason is treason and he should not be allowed back here with open arms. Even if he does not exist on NS now.

I would say the list should be public, however I could settle with it being made public for a few days after the end of each term.

How about as a sticky in the Private Halls of the Assembly?

That sounds a doable. Public to citizens but not to non-citizens. A neat solution.

Should I start a discussion there?

Wow. While at first glance I thought I'd be in support of it, I absolutely am against this.

As of right now, there is little rhyme or reason to the list basically comes down to what "experienced" gameplayers say. This is what we've been dealing with this term in the Cabinet and I will not support any attempts at codifying or even using this.

At best, this is a way to piss people off. At worst, it's a tool to preemptively stop contradicting opinions from the region.

This term we've been bombarded with citizenship apps from The Empire however - and it's frankly not the rest of the cabinet's fault that some of the cabinet is unaware of who The Empire is and how dangerous they are - that makes The Empire MORE of a threat, not less.
