Why Rubio? He's basically a latino, and he has turned on his own ethnicity. His parents escaped Cuba illegally, yet he's a republican? What's wrong with that guy?

Is there a way to leave Cuba legally? And his parents were granted amnesty because they were refugees, so, they did come here legally. He understands the plight of illegal immigrants, and agrees that changes need to be made, but, the law is the law, so they have to be deported. He's the Lawful Neutral of the Republicans.

They were economic migrants. If he meant that his parents were political refugees, then he's lying. His parents ain't refugees from a communist nation.

What's wrong about escaping Cuba? If I was Cuban, I would do the same thing. The human rights violations there are atrocious.

Yes, but its ironic that he's republican despite that his parents escaped Cuba illegally(I guess?). And republicans are anti-immigration.

I heard about how HIV got into Cuba, and the government started testing basically everyone for it, and if you had it you went off into these sanitoriums and never came back, and then word of mouth got the news out that the people there were actually living decent lives, or at least lives as decent as you can have when you have HIV. And this was at a time when Cuba was having economic depression and people were starving, and the HIV-infected people were living comfortable lives in these sanitoriums.
