Opinion on Israel
#21

Its a jewish state established in former arab land(Palestine) by the UN(Or was it Britain?). That's what makes the arab nations angry(and Israel attacking West Bank and Gaza). They think Israel should not even exist.

What's done its done(thanks UN or Britain, you tried to make things better for an ethnic group, but you angered many others. Veeeeery good job LOL).

And things are not looking good for Israel: http://www.breitbart.com/national-securi...-movement/

At some point it just isn't their problem to solve, and they'd be much safer if they didn't keep giving terrorists reasons to attack.

Well, a solution has to be found. The Jews need a homeland, and they found it. If we stop helping Israel, what Ryccia says will come to be.

A solution indeed has to be found. The problem is Israel has no interest in a solution, and the US does no favour to the region by protecting Israel from the consequences of its actions. A solution will only be found once the stakes a equal for both parties, and right now Israel has a safety net (the US) that Palestine doesn't have, so of course they aren't truly committed to a solution.

C'mon, Israel is not the only nation that has ever done something horrific and gotten away with it: Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the U.S., use of chemical weapons in the Iran–Iraq War by Iraq. The ugly truth is that the people who win wars get away with war crimes, and that will never change. The way I see it is that everyone has to share the blame, not just Israel.

"Everyone does it."

Right, that's a good way to ensure long-term international peace.

Israel doesn't need US money. If they are really our friend and ally, that shouldn't be conditional on giving them large sums of money.

Israel is our ally because it is one of the few countries in the Middle East that doesn't hate us.

Which begs the question of why do so many countries in the Middle East have such strained relations with the US. It needs to stop pretending like they "hate your freedom", as it that had ever been true.

I'm surprised why there are a lot of popularity within the middle east, and the United States to continue intervening. I see that tensions in the middle east is a never-ending cycle.
