War on Terror

Not for a few months now. What are you implying?

But the US invasion of Iraq was not necessary. Just liberate Kuwait and repeal Iraq, not invade it because of Kuwait, suspicion of weapons of mass destruction and harbouring terrorists!

See what Im saying? We left a big mess, now we need to clean it(and we have not cleaned it well).

I'm not implying anything, but a non-US study has found that Fox News tends to give out less than correct information. Just look at John Oliver's "Migrants" video.

Now Iraq may not have had WMDs, but one thing is for sure. Iraq under Saddam Hussein was a State Sponsor of Terror, a safe haven for al-Qaeda terrorists.

Yeah, good luck with that argument. Sure, it was a state sponsor of terrorism, but I don't see you invading Sporaltryus with me, do I?

Intervening in the Middle East has always been a lose-lose situation for everybody. The coup in Iran against Mossadegh eventually resulted in the establishment of the Islamic Republic, the support of Saddam during its war with Iran resulted in the 1st Gulf War, the Gulf War and the support of the Mujahideen in Afghanistan against the Soviets resulted in the formation of the Taliban and Al-Qaeda, which led to 9/11, which led to the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan, which led to the rise of ISIS and the Taliban again once the US left... you get the idea.

However, not intervening would also have had negative consequences; after all, if the Taliban and Saddam Hussein had remained in power, similar groups would have appeared all over the Middle East to capitalize on their success, and Saddam would have continued with his genocide against the Kurds. It's a huge mess, because whether the US and/or other countries intervene or not, they still end up losing on the long run.

Before you ask, I do agree that the invasion of Iraq was a stupid idea.
