I'm just amused that people are acting like this was a surprise. I was, generally speaking, assuming that most of the people implicated so far were up to this kind of nonsense.

A bunch of rich and powerful people everyone suspected of using tax havens - generally speaking small islands with very lax tax and business laws - to hide vast amounts of money have been revealed by journalists to have been using tax havens.

We already sort of knew all of these muckers were involved in tax evasion, it's more about how we now have very much concrete proof on those acts.

Don't be silly. They'll wait for the media to get bored, promise an inquiry, and then lob the middle classes a tax cut and move on. Maybe talk up the dangers of immigration if the tax cut isn't enough to distract people by itself.
