A 29th of April, 2016 Press Release from Executive Qvait

Because of the war in the former Sporaltryus, President Margaret Harrison wants to make it clear that the "winning" party of the war, with no exception to whatever party it may be, will not be recognized. The next government in the area will only be recognized if a fair, transparent election is held and the results of which shall be respected by all of the parties that partook in the election. The President has also said that Qvait will remain neutral in the conflict, but because Chancellor Ottov Rasmick of Sporal lied to her and said that groups refusing to rejoin the Union would be treated with behavior consistent with democracy, Chancellor Rasmick has been banned from entering Qvait by Executive Exclusion Order 1, becoming the first person under the new Constitution to be banned from entering Qvait.

A 4th of May, 2016 Press Release from Executive Qvait

With great consideration, we have formed the conclusion that the Voodoo People's Republic of Bruuma is funding and providing covert military assistance to the Communist Party of Farengeto. The President has weighed in all of the information provided to her and agreed with her military advisers that Bruuma is covertly providing assistance to the Communist Party of Farengeto. Since the inception of the conflict in Farengeto, President Harrison has insisted on remaining neutral in foreign conflicts that do not involve Qvaiticans nor show any evidence of war crimes. However, President Harrison insists on all parties involved in the conflict to find a peaceful resolution to it.

Official Message from the Federal Republic of Karnetvor

Karnetvor has been watching closely the events in the former Sporaltryus, and after careful consideration, we have decided that the new government of Sporaltryus will not be recognized by us unless free and fair elections are held to prove its legitimacy, and all parties recognize the results. Until then, the current trade embargo will be kept.

Official statements from the Voodoo People's Republic of Bruuma

Regarding the civil war in Farengeto:
The V.P.R.B. supports the true socialist cause in the whole South Pacific. Thus, we morally stand by the Communist Party of Farengeto in its struggle againts tyranny and oppression. We deny however the presence at the moment of any Bruuman military personnel on Farengetan soil. The hypotetical presence of military equipment of Bruuman fabrication, which we export, could be explained as a purchase through a third party.

Regarding Sporaltryus:
The V.P.R.B. will not recognise the legitimacy of the new Sporaltryan state until it clarify its stance on socialism.

Official Message from the Federal Republic of Karnetvor

Karnetvor condemns in the strongest terms the recent Ryccian invasion of our fellow SCO member, Kys. Sadly, it is clear to us that Ryccia has not taken the chance to start anew, and once again has resorted to needless aggression and the violation of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of an innocent nation.

Due to this, the Karnetvorian Government announces the following measures:
  • Reactivation of the trade embargo against Ryccia, and all other sanctions promulgated against Ryccia before the ratification of the Government Island Accord.
  • Travel ban to and from Ryccia.
  • Withdrawal of diplomatic recognition of the Ryccian Federation.
  • Mobilization of the Armed Forces of Karnetvor, pending the passage of SCO Resolution 007.

Seal of the Monarch of the Resentine Kingdom
Official Declaration, May 26th, 2016

Friends and Allies,

After some careful consideration, I, Claudius Valhalla III, Monarch of the Resentine Kingdom and Baliish, wanted to address some international concern for my Parliament's recent actions. Now while Parliament has their reasons for this, and while I agree with some of them, I do have some of my own to which I would like to explain.

Resentine has seen those like Maximilian Rey before. Those who sought a dramatic takeover of their societies, who wanted to take absolute control over their nations, those who threaten the lives of their own citizens just to have control. No matter his intentions, Rey's actions have perpetuated and have constantly been shown to be a source of violence and oppression in Farengeto, whether it be removing his opponents from power and arresting them, or beating down protesters trying to reclaim their democracy. Rey has proven time and time again that he only seeks to be in the vestibules of power by any means necessary, corrupted by his own greed of conscience. Though I have spoken of him in the past, I believe now, more than ever, especially with the Parliament's clear separation from Rey's regime, that he no longer represents the interests of the Farengetan people.

We had several men not much unlike Mr. Rey during the time of our own Civil War. Those who sought power by all means necessary, regardless of the consequences. If I may provide such an one example in Pranciškaus V. Medienos, the former leader of the SCA Rebels in the final years of our Civil War. He was merely a Lieutenant in the SCA's army during his early life, but as he climbed through the ranks of the SCA's military, he grew more and more desperate for power. Committing assassinations, murdering peaceful protesters in the streets of Balent, arresting those who stood in his climb to power. And once he was there, he only grew worse. He established oppressive work camps for those who opposed him, forced his soldiers into near inhospitable conditions, assassinating members of what little of my family was left, and even planting a nuclear bomb in the heart of Theron before his demise. How long do we have to wait until Rey joins this man in the world's history books? 6 Political opponents arrested? 100 Work Camps built? 1000 peaceful protesters killed? How long will it take for the rest of the world to deem this man a danger to his own people?

While I cannot say that my own lineage isn't guilty of similar acts in the past, I can say that my mother, my father, and his father before him, never tolerated such barbarity. Though it has been almost 50 years since any of them have been alive on this Earth, they would be disappointed in me if I failed to condemn what Rey has done to his country and his people. There must be a line drawn, one where we no longer surrender our values of freedom and dignity for the sake easy political alliances. That line must be drawn here, and no further. Whether it be in our own countries or abroad, we cannot continue to tolerate the deliberate actions of repressive dictatorships against their own people. A moral cause must be brought forward against Rey and those like him around the globe. Silence can no longer be an option for any of us, not while these men still hold the reigns of power. As much as they may cry that their actions are in the name of "security" or "stability", they are, and often have been throughout history, the age old cry of the oppressor. I cannot, nor will I, as a matter of good conscience and my belief in freedom for all people of the world, allow Resentine's support of Mr. Rey, or his government.

And with that, I announce that I will be signing Parliament Foriegn Declaration number 109, and further state that Resentine no longer has any support for Mr. Rey's regime in Farengeto.

signed,

Office of the President
Statement on the Farengeto Civil War

In recent weeks, this administration has followed with concerns the developments in the allied nation of Farengeto, as several groups have abandoned any pretense of democracy and waged war against their government and their people. As a nation that knows all too well the horrors that follow the rise of individuals and groups that choose to destroy institutions rather than build them, to impose change upon society rather than work together to produce it, we cannot stand idly by as one of our closest allies is subjected to this unprovoked and underserved crisis.

We condemn the actions of the groups led by Percy Larue, Murphy Lévêque and Christopher Tatham. Their claims to work towards democracy in Farengeto are contradictory, in view of their continued efforts to subvert the democratic regime of the Third Republic. If they truly wish for peace and prosperity for Farengeto, it is the belief of this administration that they should work within the established parameters of the law, rather than causing instability and untold grief for the families of those fighting at the frontlines.

As a leading member of the Southern Cooperation Organisation, Farengeto has always made itself ready to meet the challenges of modern society. Under the leadership of President Rey, Farengeto has thrived as a nation, strengthened its relationship with the world, and been a steadfast ally to this administration and the one before. It would be difficult to imagine a Farengeto without his strong leadership abroad and his fair hand at home, enabling the transition towards democracy.

It is only natural then to restate that the Republic of Kringalia recognises the Third Republic as led by Maximilien Rey as the legitimate government of Farengeto, lends its diplomatic and material support to its ongoing endavour to defeat all rebel factions that seek to undermine it and encourages all like-minded nations to support our position on the international stage.

A 27th of May, 2016 Press Release from Executive Qvait

On 27 April last month, President Margaret Harrison declared that the Third Republic of Qvait would take a neutral position in the Farengeto Civil War. Today, she has said that she will stand by her position of neutrality and also wishes for all parties involved to cease their aggression and for the opposing parties to agree to a free, fair, and transparent election, leaving the power in the hands of the people of Farengeto. The President is disappointed in the many countries that have decided to support a belligerent or a faction of belligerents rather than declare neutrality and support the call for an election in Farengeto. However, President Harrison commends the several nations who have called for such an election. The only peaceful option to ending civil conflicts is through elections.
