Punch — this was a beginning point, not an end. The idea is to spark discussion and move this forward, not be an end all, be all.

I don't see what your getting angry at.

You said that people don't like their ideas. People get angry when that happens. I get angry when my ideas are shut down (debate act). It's natural Punch.
Above all else, I hope to be a decent person.

If we don't want the sign up threads under that main section as well or don't want to use one big thread for the new user introductions then maybe we roll them and their relevant information threads into their own sub-forums instead? I don't think the SPSF in particular needs one thread explaining what it is and another to sign up anyway as we have currently. One could do that same job just as easily, look tidier and save interested partied from having to click about and having the intros in one place will help keep the main section looking tidy.

I'm all for this. I think having either separate sub forums or putting them under their respective ministry forums only mashes it more difficult for new players to find them and get involved. I like the idea of a welcome forum that serves like a menu of options for how to get involved.

A single introductions thread would not only reduce clutter, but I think it would also encourage new players to get to know one another and they are all joining the same conversation. It might end up a bit like the RMB, but as a way to welcome players to the forums, that's not so bad either.

My relative short fuse has more to do with RL stuff than NS to be perfectly honest.

But, my gripe is that it's not like I — or any of the admins — are shoving this down everyone's throats. We're asking for input to make this something everyone can be happy with. If you don't like these suggestions — off some. That's what this is for.

But telling me that no one likes the ideas and not offering anything else isn't helpful. Someone needs to spark this debate (again) and that's what we're doing in this thread.

No your not shoving it down our throats but I bet you soon will. I do have an idea for forum reorganisation but I'll just get crap for it despite the fact that there are others who will agree with me.

... what makes you think that?

Literally, Punch, that's what this thread is for. I actually think this seems to work well — tbh I still need to go through some of the above suggestions — but ... I've now asked at least twice for alternatives. Please — propose it!

These are the region's forums. Not mine. Not the admins'. Not the government's. Everyone should have input and that's what this thread is for.

As a roleplayer, I would like my roleplay experience to be optimized. There are so many embassy threads in the roleplay section that they should be separated from other diplomacy threads. As for the media section, RP media, such as the Treasure Island Report, must be brought into this section.

My proposal:

That division of national and multinational media probably won't work. There just isn't enough traffic for both. I would tend to say the same about an international organisations forum. I have no opinion about the actual organisation subforums; this proposal was developed assuming the current ones -SCO and UF- would be kept, so no particular issues there. I can see the merit for a separate embassies forum, but at the same time I'm not sure if I see enough regular activity in embassy threads to justify a separate subforum. Like I said though, I see the merit. I think that particular one is definitely worth a discussion.

Personally I'm fine with the forums as they're currently organised; I never have difficulty finding anything.

Perhaps one option would be to have revise what Qvait suggested immediately after we implement the changes. That would let us see how organised TI would actually be.
