Description:
A notorious football team formed upon the introduction of football in the year 1880's by its regional neighbours, only attending FIFA and the regional football tournaments decades after due to a lack of funding by the Royal Palace. It pools from over 12 different Peonic national football teams as well as over 30 professional football clubs. It is the fourth most popular sports league in the Peocracy and the 41th in its Elo rankings.

"The Golden Age":
The Golden Age of Football in The Peocracy is represented by the large number of finals games made by the national team, as well as a monumental amount of victories in the Champions League between 1995-2000. Majorly attributed by the Football Team's Head Coach "Couple" Vance Hong and Alya Hong, managing the male and female division respectively. Upon their retirement in the 2001 dubbed the "Fall of Dragons", an event where the Peonic Imperial Football Team drastically fell in quality partly due to amassed corruption in the PFA post 2000 followed by a sharp cut of funding by Her Majesty Nuwang Akane Yan to help with the Arasian war effort.

Logo:
The butterfly represents delicacy and precision upon handling the football, as well as the two Koi Yin and Yang representing balance, faith and growth in togetherness. The Peony flower shadowed by the football represents the protection by the Royal Peonic Palace as well as its service to the Peonic People, carrying their never-ending spirit in the process. The colour black shows focus and indifference of the player's background as well as equality.

Firearms developers and manufacturers

Haidian Royal Firearms Manufactury Corporation
The Haidian corporation develops weapons that are purely of Peonic origin, an acquisition made in the 1915's by the Royal Peonic Government to become the national arms manufacturer. While some of its weapons are somewhat cruder than the average rifle with some notable disasters with its designs, the Haidian corporation is the leading manufacturer of firearms in the Peocracy with most of its creations being the standard issue for the PAF, the royal police, the forest rangers, the border patrol and even the Peonic Personal Defence Force.

Remington Huawan
Remington is a private corporation originally from Hammerstar, its sister organization, Remington Huawan, manufactures expensive yet high quality firearms used by the Peocracy. While it pales in comparison with the Haidan corporation for mass usage of its weapons, its incredible quality does not find fault and has been deeply trusted by the Peonic military.

Kurokiba Weaponry Industry
A private corporation in the Huawan that does not develop weapons of its own, instead it acquires licenses from famous creators such as Kalashnikov, Franchi, Heckler & Koch and Colt. It is also the corporation that produces cheap and reliable weaponry ranging from the famous AK-47, the Colt Revolver until a wide array of grenades.

Handguns, Xiaoqiang


Xiaoqiang Shoko 20 Series (XQ-S20) [Based on the H&K P2000]
Literally means small gun, the Shoko 20 series is the newest pistol to be developed by Haidian Corp and the best design since 2001 and effective of usage for civil defenders. intended primarily for law enforcement, paramilitary and the commercial markets. Designed with improved ergonomic characteristics, and increasing user handling as well as comfort. The short-recoil operated locked breech pistol uses a 9x19mm Parabellum bullet, which are standard use for Peonic firearms. Used primarily by Border Guards, Park Rangers, Security Police and Civil Defenders.


Xiaoqiang Shoko 6 Series (XQ-S6) [Based on H&K P9]
Also means small gun, the Shoko 6 series is the predecessor of the 20 series and by far known as one of the most reliable designs since 1970. It uses a roller-delayed pistol manufactured from a stamped steel main frame and a polymer trigger guard. The Shoko 6 series was actually a revised version of the past Shoko 5 series, the second version, which was the double action trigger was manufactured in much greater numbers a year after the single-action trigger. Using the standard issue 9 x 19mm Parabellum bullet, it is primarily used by all the divisions Peonic Armed Forces, along with the Royal Secret Service. Known as a masterpiece of a weapon in Peonic weapons development history, but The Peony, Dr. Yan, has shown concern with the PAF that a new design should be applied soon, as this handgun is not exactly the most reliable in modern warfare.


Remington “Tennozan” N9 [Based on M9]
The Remington corporation produced the N9 a standard issue pistol with designs from Hammerstarian weapons corporation “Remington”. Known as the Tennozan in the Peocracy, the semi automatic pistol was developed in the 1980’s but had only officially entered sevice in the PAF on 1993. It is the select combat pistol used for the special forces and criminal investigation as well, and uses the standard issue 9 x 19 Parabellum bullet. While the Tennozan is incredibly reliable than the Shoko 6 series for the military, the lack of confidence in stopping power and its magazines along with several failures from the Naval Special Warfare of the PAF had caused several doubts with the N9. Remington Huawan had speedily corrected the issues and there has been no further malfunctions since. While the N9 serves as a secondary standard issue handgun against the Shoko 6 for the PAF, it has become the standard issue for the Air Force and the Cooperation Expeditionary Force.


Assault Rifles, Daqiang


Daqiang Takeshi 91 Series (DQ-T91) [Based on the T91]
Literally means “Big Gun”, The Takeshi 91 Series is the standard issue assault rifle for most of the PAF division, Peonic assault rifles manufactured by the Haidan Corporation has never been the best rifles. Previous design and feedback of the standard issue preceding assault rifles Hayate 74 Series and the Deongwoo 86 Series in the field. Manufactured in 1991, the T91 is a gas-operated short-stroke, air-cooled, rotating bolt, magazine- or drum-fed, select-fire, modularized military rifle compatible with various tactical accessories. T91 utilizes a front post, rear peephole sight. The rear sight, mounted on the detachable handle, is adjustable for windage and elevation. The telescopic stock on the T91 was designed based on the experience of military and police personnel with the M4 Carbine. The resulting product has improved recoil transfer and handling qualities. A rubber recoil pad is also added for comfort. The handguards are triangular in shape. The PAF used the T91 series as the standard issue rifle for operations for its incredible versatility on the field. While it may be an incredibly great assault rifle, it pales in comparison with the AK-47 in reliability and simplicity


Remington AUG “Armee-Universal-Gewehr”
One of the most reliable rifles in service by the Peocracy, upon the major issues with the Hayate 74 and the Deongwoo 86 series as well as its large unreliability in wet and cold conditions. Remington sought the opportunity to manufacture a precision-performance rifle made for special ops and sold the Remington AUG, an assault rifle development by Hammerstarian engineers. The Steyr AUG is a selective-fire, bullpup weapon with a conventional gas-piston-operated action that fires from a closed bolt. It is designed as a modular weapon system that could be quickly configured as a rifle, a carbine, a sniper rifle, a sub-machine gun and even as an open-bolt squad automatic weapon. Employing polymer and aluminium as well as high level advanced firearm technology. Using the standard issue 9 x 19 Parabellum it has become one of the best using assault rifles for combat. Used by the Peonic Armed Forces in response with the issue with other Peonic-made rifles and still used by the Special forces as well as the Police force. Its multi-use properties and reliability inspired the T91 and it is still used even today. The Remington AUG is primarily used as well by anti-terrorist units and the paramilitary force.


AK-47
Made under license by the Kurokiba Weaponry Industry, the famous AK-47 is also used in The Peocracy and made under license behind its borders. It has also been one of the standard issue rifles in the Peocracy until the military has found the rifle to be incredibly lacking for precision operations and special service. Its cheap, simple and easy manufacturing history has made mass-manufacture simple. Its service life has to be one of the longest, and units are often deployed without adequate logical support, so it is incredibly versatile for usage. However, while it may be one of the most reliable assault rifles used in the Peocracy under the nation’s harsh conditions and low budgets, repairing the weapons are an incredible hassle along with the fact that it isn’t really meant for special operations such as hostage rescues and city breaches. So while it may be used for major operations and many other things, the Peonic Armed Forces have always looked for weapons that are much finer instead of the crude AK-47. Nevertheless it has been one of the most famous weapons even in the Peocracy and majorly used by the Infantry, the border guards and the forest rangers.

Sniper Rifles, Changqiang


Dragunov
Developed by Kurokiba, the Dragunov sniper rifle is a semi-automatic sniper/designated marksman rifle chambered in 7.62×54mmR and developed in a socialist nation. The Dragunov was designed as a squad support weapon since, according to military doctrines, the long-range engagement ability was lost to ordinary troops when submachine guns and assault rifles (which are optimized for close-range and medium-range, rapid-fire combat) were adopted. For that reason, it was originally named "Self-Loading Rifle, System of Dragunov, Model of the Year 1963". It has been the standard squad assault sniper rifle with large adaptability in weather and cheap manufactury. The dragunov has been the main sniper rifle before the 21st century, and has still become the main rifle for the expeditionary force and the forest rangers. The Dragunov has a vented, two-piece wooden handguard/gas tube cover and a skeletonized wooden thumbhole stock equipped with a detachable cheek rest; the latter is removed when using iron sights. Newer production models feature synthetic furniture made of a black polymer – the handguard and gas tube cover are more or less identical in appearance, while the thumbhole stock is of a different shape. With The Peony, Doctor Yan in charge, the Peonic military tries to phase out the dragunov for other sniper rifles.


Changqiang Kinokuni 5 Series (CQ-K5)
Literally means long gun, the Kinokuni 5 series sniper rifle is a bolt-action sniper rifle that fires the 7.62×51mm NATO round. The CQ-K5 was developed as one of the newest sniper rifles in production, and one of the finest. Almost doubling the Dragunov's effective firing range. The Kinokuni 5 series is the best of four sniper rifle prototypes that may be able to be used on the field. The development of the CQ-K5 was made to replace the Dragunov and become adaptable in warfare. It has been phased in by the Peonic military due to its great performance. The CQ-K5 has been one of the most successful sniper rifles in The Peocracy, and the CQ-K5 becomes the first blueprint for a current research on a purely Peonic Anti-Materiel Rifle.

Shotguns, Dashengqiang


Dashengqiang Marika 4 Series (DSQ-M4)
Literally means loud gun, The M4 was the first gas-operated shotgun produced by Haidian. Its function is designed around an at that time, an entirely new method called the "auto regulating gas operated" (ARGO) system. The short-stroke design uses two stainless-steel self-cleaning pistons located just ahead of the chamber to function opposite the rotating bolt, thereby eliminating the need for the complex mechanisms found on other gas-actuated automatics. The ARGO incorporates only four parts: two symmetrical shrouds containing two small steel gas pistons. Additionally, the weapon is self-regulating for use with cartridges of varying length and power levels. It can fire 2.75 (70 mm) and 3-inch (76 mm) shells of differing power-levels without any operator adjustments and in any combination. Low-power rounds, such as less-lethal rubber pellets, must be cycled manually. Its high reliability and ability to continue performance after 25,000 rounds without replacement of any major parts. Its low maintenance and operability for all fields of combat makes it one of the most popular shotguns in The Peocracy. There is an immense reason behind its success, particularly attributed to Akane Yan's leadership, the preceding peony of Doctor Yan. While her regime is understood as the cruelest to the military funding, the excess funds are allocated to police and local security research, of which definitely caused for a revolutionary development of the M4. Its usage is wide and there is currently no plans to develop a newer version.


SPAS 12
The M4 was produced and of use in the 1990s. Before, the SPAS 12 was created under rights the Kurokiba corporation. The SPAS-12 was designed to function primarily as a semi-automatic firearm, with the pump-action mode used to reliably fire low-pressure ammunition such as tear gas rounds or less-lethal bean bags. The firing mode is switched by depressing the button under the fore-grip and also sliding the fore-grip forwards or backwards until it clicks into position allowing the rotating sleeve to open or close the two gas ports.
The SPAS-12 has a magazine cut-off feature, which prevents loading a new round from the internal magazine when the gun is cycled. This lets the operator load a specialized round into the chamber without firing the whole magazine first. A unique feature of the SPAS-12 was the hook on folding-stock variants. This hook could be rotated in 90-degree increments, so it would fit under the user's forearm when the stock was extended. In theory, with the stock supported under the forearm, the gun can be fired with one hand; an example would be letting the user fire from a vehicle through the passenger-side window while driving. Its crude manufacturing and wide adaptability made it the perfect predecessor for the M4, as well as one of the reason why there aren't much shotguns made in the Peocracy, mostly because people wanted the same adaptability as that of the SPAS-12. Its manufactury was stopped in 1998 when Franchi decides to drop the weapon, providing yet another reason to design the M4 shotgun.

Sub-Machine Guns, Zhongxingqiang


Remington Hayra HP9
Remington Huawan sold the HP9 which uses 9×19mm Parabellum bullets. Production on the HP9 began in 1964 and two years later it was adopted by the Peonic Federal Police, border guard and army special forces. Over time it grew to a large usability for its size, efficiency and price. Especially it became the second weapon to be of regular service next to the Remington AUG when Haidian couldn't innovate newer rifles. it functions according to the proven roller-delayed blowback principle. Tremendously reliable, with maximum safety for the user, easy to handle, modular, extremely accurate and extraordinarily easy to control when firing – features that are particularly appreciated by security forces and military users in and outside the Peocracy.


Zhongxingqiang Muromachi 9 Series (ZXQ-M9)
Literally means Medium Gun, The ZXQ-M9 was designed by a famous paramilitary commander known as Muromachi, who also designed the (successful but costly) ZXQ-M92. Development of the ZXQ-M9 started from 1993 to 1994 with the design finalized in 2004. In March 2004, the prototype, named ZXQ-M9, went through a review before the design was finalized in May to August 2005. The ZXQ-M9 submachine gun features a blowback-operated system. It uses a 50-round helical magazine located at the top of the weapon. Early prototypes had a secondary feed option, with a pistol magazine inserted into the pistol grip. When running dry of bullets from primary magazine, the shooter could switch to the secondary magazine to sustain firing. ZXQ-M9submachine gun is fitted with open sights, and has a mounting point rail for optics situated to the rear of the sight block. Threads in the barrel allow the weapon to attach a silencer. The shoulder stock is retractable, and is made from polymer material. The design is chambered for 9×19mm Parabellum ammunition, used internationally for most pistols and sub machine guns used by armed forces and law enforcement. Its unique usage in that it doubles for a sub machine gun and a pistol with interchangeable cartridges makes it a cost effective way to carry firearms in operations. It has been primarily used by the police and the coast guard.

Machine Guns, Feichang da de qiang

Remington “Feichang Kuai” 80
A joint research project between Remington Huawan and Haidan Royal Weapons Manufactory. Created the Feichang Kuai 80, a general-purpose machine gun certified for design finalisation in 1980 and entered the PAF service in the mid-1980s, specifically in 1983. The Feichang Kuai chambers and fires the 7.62×54mmR round. It is a gas-operated, air-cooled, belt-fed, fully automatic firearm. It can fire on both the tripod and the foldable bipod on the gas tube below the barrel. Belts are used from 100-round boxes in the light machine gun configurations, and from 200- or 250-round boxes in tripod-mounted applications. The machine gun uses an open iron sight, but can also be fitted with an optical or night-vision sight. It definitely played a role in the Arasian war effort, but costly maintenance and unreliable size has made the Peonic government phase out its use. It's currently in service in small numbers with the PAF, and its likeness are sought after by collectors.



Feichang da de qiang Anne 95 Series (FD2Q-A95)
To replace the Remington 80, the Haidan Weapons Manufactury created a cheaper light machine gun with a more streamlined design and certainly cheaper manufactury costs. Literally means "Very Big Gun", This family includes a standard Assault rifle variant, a compact carbine variant and this particular light support weapon/Squad automatic weapon variant. The longer, heavier barrel and 80-round drum magazine of the FD2Q-A95 allow sustained firing, however the standard 30-round box magazine is also compatible.
Though the FD2Q-A95 take 5.8×42mm ammo, it normally uses DBP88 "heavy round" machine gun cartridges, which have longer range, deeper armor penetration and better ballistics at long range. It is also an interesting gun noting that it's the first gun made by Haidian Royal Weapon's Manufactury where the name of the gun is not attributed to the chief designer, rather named after his daughter instead.


Remington Pierce 12
A legendary machine gun in its own right, known as the Remington Pierce 12 and has served throughout many conflict across the world. This is also one of the first models introduced by Remington to Huawan, and the only model that is still manufactured until now. The Pierce 12 is an automatic weapon using a gas-operated long-stroke piston system and a locking system recycled from previous small arms, consisting of a pair of hinged flaps set in recesses on each side of the receiver. The movement of these flaps and the resulting locking and unlocking action is controlled by carefully angled surfaces on the bolt carrier assembly. The weapon fires from an open bolt. The Pierce 12 is hammer fired from an open bolt, the hammer forming part of the rear of the bolt carrier (which is connected to the gas piston), which continues moving forward for a short distance after the round is chambered and the bolt locked, the hammer face then striking the rear of the free floating firing pin which passes through the length of the bolt. Locking occurs by means of lateral flaps located along the sides of the bolt, which are forced outwards (by the angled sides of the hammer) into recesses cut into the receiver body, after which firing occurs when the face of the hammer strikes the rear of the firing pin; the mechanism is simple, rugged and reliable, It features a trigger mechanism that is limited to fully automatic fire only. It is still used by the forest rangers and the Peonic Armed Forces for its massive reliability and adaptability.

Cooperatives:


Cooperatives / co-op states are autonomous nations that voluntarily wish to meet their common economic, social and cultural needs along with their aspirations through a jointly-owned and democratically controlled government. As such describes to the two known cooperatives of the Peocracy, The Macintosh Islands residing in the Opal Continent, and the Fuyuan Cooperative residing in the New Continent.

These Co-Op states have their own elected leaders by their own respective system of election, these elected leaders are usually known as Cooperative Governors. Unlike the Governor of the Mainland and Zhanghai Qitou, Cooperative Governors respond to the Superintendent chosen by both the Mainland and the Cooperative, with both having the power to reassess and fire the officer from their office.

The Superintendant in charge of the cooperative responds immediately to The Peony and her ministers without tamper from the People's Council. This is due to the fact that the People's Council holds no one from the cooperatives. In exchange however, the Cooperative governor is the one responding to their respective parliamentary bodies while responding to the Superintendant's close regard.

Cooperatives hold full autonomy and reserve their respective rights, as such The Peocracy offers them full protection, partnership, guidance and a pledge of resources in exchange of partial control over the nation's decisions, collective tribute and exclusivity over certain assets.

Cooperatives may be a great investment and a modern equivalent to colonization and protectorates, however the amount of money needed to maintain them puts a heavy strain on the nation's finances. For years expeditionary forces all over the world have been privatized instead of nationalized, more often providing much needed sponsorship towards these explorations in turn claiming these lands in the name of their sworn lords. Known as Proto-conglomerate trading companies.

With the unnecessary need for a middleman to fund and run explored islands, The Peocracy instead funds a national expeditionary force and offers cooperations instead of a total rule over these islands. This in turn relinquishes sponsorships and private ownership of government, however it would severely increase the need for funds in the royal budget, straining the treasury.

For such a prospective nation with yet a hefty amount of money in its treasury for its expeditions, in addition to the newly restructure of the eastern territory in the Mainland, The Peocracy is halting its expeditionary forces until further notice. With two large cooperatives in its care, demands and goals are to be met, otherwise a penalty is to be made under supervision of the World Alliance and the Knightisian Alliance concerning failure to meet targets.

There are several instances that cooperatives turn to pledge their nation under the rule of the mainland instead of disavowment. Of which was the Zhanghai Qitou, the Zhanghai islands became the trading port between the Peocracy and the outside world that it became densely populated and rich. It was annexed by the Taizong pirates in the 1400's, and acquired in 1795 after Taizong Royalits surrendered the island state to the Peonic Cooperative. It is noted to be the merchant haven and the pirate cove of The South Pacific.

Since then it has been made a major trading post of The South Pacific Continent to the world, and has one of the largest harbors in the entire continent. Only recently in 1990 that The Peony, Akane Yan, offers to upgrade the status of cooperative in Zhanghai to a permanent territory of Huawan, of which the nation accepts.
