Well they let her go home yesterday and there seems to be no issues. I am hoping that it stays that way.
Well I got the call today, on Feb 15th I leave out for California, not sure yet where at specifically, to start our season. Oh joy, LOL for the past three years we have started our season here in Las Vegas now we are going to Cali. Oh well such is the life of a Carney. I do love being one. So how is everyone doing so far today/tonight/afternoon/whatever?

Nope that is an Amusement Park, a traveling Carnival is a bit more of a different beast. A tale to tell by my own hand, a joy to read (who will ever know) but it comes to me in raw form and to you from me.
Ferris Wheel is the Carney North Star, because we know that if one is up in a big show or a parking lot, that we just might get to work that week. Understand that we work to bring some joy to those that we can, although there are those that strike out against us with their words and their actions. We give a smile and continue on, smiling at the next in line and giving a shrug of nonchalance for the attitude just given. The lights, oh how they blink and shine, showing off a whirling land of magic. Laughter skips up and down the midway, where children play the games, ride the rides and get the food that we have to offer. I think this will do for now, maybe another time I will post my Ode to a Carney, the first poem I wrote the first year I was out on the road with my new job.

That time comes so much closer every year, this time around it starts on the 15th of Feb and carries us through until after the 1st of March. Can you guess what might be happening once again...yes that vicious cycle of: LR not active, LR post something, LR forgot the password to GR, again LR not active, GR CTE's and LR looses Citizenship again, LR CTE's, LR posts again as a non Citizen, LR applies for Citizenship, Yes the fun steamroller of my life starts up once again, are you ready? Heck my question is more along the lines of: Am I ready?

Sunny California was not so sunny. We had to pull an Oregon slough, meaning it rained (nice cold rain) on us the whole time. Lucky me I work foods and we got down pretty quickly, before the real rain started, our ride guys were not so lucky. Costa Mesa California, the TET festival is what we were working this past week. Instead of two weeks it was only one week. Honestly it was a pretty good show, I got to be behind the scenes working on keeping the cotton candy flowing. With only one machine it is a bit harder than one would think, but I had my music and a lot of fun doing it. Our boneyard was 52 miles away, that was pretty fun. I did find out that traffic in California, although it gets rough at those certain times of the day, is nothing like Las Vegas. Sad to say but the drivers in California are nicer than the aggressive people here in LV. Maybe it is because in Cali they deal with it everyday and just shrug off the road rage? Ah who knows. I really wish I had gotten to try a Pho (Fa), yes I asked how to pronounce the word, burger. I hear they are really good, but do to allergies to fish/seafood I am not allowed the joy of trying it. I do however have it on the good word of a trusted person that they are worth it, so if you get to try one do so and let me know if you like it So how has life been treating the peeps of TSP while I have been away?

So I have a question: does anyone find a chip called Lobster Roll a bit weird? Has anyone tried them? Are they good?
