Matt Smith is bogus. Even my dad who doesn't even watch Doctor Who says that Tennant played the role much better. My dad says he also remembers Pertwee and T. Baker from the 70's. He didn't say their names or order, but pointed out that he recognized them from the faces of the 50th Anniversary opening collection.
Matt Smith did an awesome job as The Doctor. He brought the silliness to the series. Nearly the complete opposite of Christopher Eccleston.
If you are going to say a Doctor as great as Eleven was "bogus", it would have been common courtesy to at least give arguments.

Matt Smith wasn't great. He's like gold armor in Minecraft: Shiny, but not much more than wood and stone.
Matt Smith: Bowties are cool. Fish fingers and custard are cool. So unoriginal. Tennant was for 4,5 years, and showed that he deserved the role. Davison from which I have seen was great, and T. Baker, and Hartnell, and roughly everybody. Except Smith. Boo.
And you still haven't said why Eleven was "bogus". Specially considering bowties are cool. Both Ten and Eleven were awesome, and both were right for their times.

While I didn't like Matt Smith as much as Tennant, Smith certainly wasn't bogus.
My university's Doctor Who club seems to unanimously hate Moffat though.
Meh, can handle Smith after all. At least he didn't keep calling himself Matt Smith all the time.
