Welcome in 2021 and welcome to a short issue of the Treasure Island Report.

Because the TIR is undergoing some changes at the moment, this issue will be a bit shorter. We will look at the most notable events of the first few weeks of the year and try to point our eyes into the near future of TSP-Roleplay.

Not much Time

January 2021 was kind of silent roleplay-wise, because many people are stressed out by university or work at the moment. This is not seen as a problem generally, because real life always has priority over any roleplay activity, however there are often people having a bad conscience because of that anyway or others, who think TSP’s roleplay is often boring because of those “down times” in activity.

Yes, those times, where the activity in our community is lower can be somewhat disheartening and the roleplay might be more fun naturally, if more people have the opportunity to invest their time into our region, but out of experience we all know, that those low-activity phases are always followed by week-long high-activity ones. Don’t lose hope and don’t feel bad, if you currently do not have the time to participate in the roleplay, because you are not the only one and roleplay should not be any obligation, but a fun hobby.


Apart from many people not having had the time to write many things, there were a few notable events and roleplays, which occurred in the main canon recently:

- Bruuma’s Leader Brother Unclepear announces a “General Congress” of the Worker’s Mojo Party to be held on 13 April 2021.

- In FiHami a new destined Ha’Coron was born. Aisele Fi’Shi-Yayu would become the first Ha’Coron born to foreigners.

- Huawan will supply Ela with ships and submarines for their naval forces. It is said, that this arms deal is one the most lucrative in Peonic history.

- The Izaakian annexations of Brödmark and La Montagne shall now be democratically settled as an internationally observed referendum on the 26 March 2021 on the status of the two regions was announced. Furthermore the internet provider “CosmosNet” is starting its service in the Izaakian regions (including the disputed ones) and Besern. On royal news, Empress Astrid Iceborn proposed to adventurer Hugo Heinriksen and expects a baby from him later this year.

- In the Langburn Islands light is shed on a huge corruption scandal within the government.

- Proktethia and Procus Rega were or are in a short war – officially. The short-story roleplay “I ene” is showing us, how such a war between a modern and a fully underdeveloped nation could play out.

- Qaweritoyu’s new President is Manuel Ortega, who stepped in for Vicki Berry. Berry ascended to the Presidency half a year ago and now stepped down until June for “personal reasons”. Rumours about Prime Minister Barrett calling for snap elections later this year or in early 2022 are in circulation also. A new thread focusing on Lower Chamber debates will keep us up-to-date on developments in Qaz politics in the future.

- In the United Atlantic the former Army General and fake Izaakian MP Eric Sewell (also known as Dickie Biggins) has been sentenced to life imprisonment, after he was found guilty of being a war criminal and having committed high treason against the UA.

- The World Forum has elected the Gianlucian ambassador Helene Meise to be the Speaker of the Assembly until July 2021. It also gained three new members.


Outside of Pacifica a new big Extra-Canon roleplay has started. Based on the anime “Gate” the roleplay “Thus we united as one and fought there” was created. It is something completely different from what we normally read about in our community, so I recommend checking it out for yourself. And if this is nothing for you, maybe the planned roleplay based on Stargate SG-1 or a kind of “alternate-history-fantasy” thread fits more to your taste.

Sad Goodbyes and happy Hellos

The last few weeks brought some changes to our community.
First of all @StoicMetoik has been announed as the new writer for the TIR responsible for the A1-0 canon. He will update us on the happenings of the canon every quarter of the year.

On a good note we were able to welcome new roleplayers in our halls, some of them were already part of our community years ago, but found their way back in here.
Let us welcome with a cheerful round of applause:

Two people, who definitely did this in the last few years were @Omega and @phoenixofthesun14. Sadly both have announced, that they will gain some distance between TSP and their real life for the foreseeable future after their political terms on gameside ended.

We thank you both for your service to the roleplay community and that you brought your nations to life in here. It was much fun while it lasted.
Be assured that either of you will always have a home here, so feel free to come back anytime, if you want to. You will never be forgotten!

A Look into the near Future

The upcoming weeks will hopefully be exciting for TSP’s roleplay community.

On the one hand the new TSP-Wiki is finally here and the move is almost complete. Media still needs to be transferred, which will hopefully only take a couple weeks at max. Once this process is complete, everyone is invited to build up their nations through the means of the Wiki once again.

On the other the Southern Gate Festival’s submission periods have ended recently. This means a new festival roleplay in Pacifica is close to starting very soon. The Southern Gate Festival shall determine, who is the most creative roleplayer in terms of creating IC-films and series and Eurovision-like song performances. Look forward to it, because it will be lots of fun!
