| What's going on in your life? |
Today, while doing some research for school stuff, I found a Cuban Wikipedia knockoff. Out of curiosity, I searched for the article "United States". The results were pretty much what you would expect from a Cuban website: The article is filled with the usual anti-American propaganda, and doesn't mention almost anything positive made by the US in the 20th Century. The moon landings are barely mentioned, for example.

This is Cielo. Her name means Sky in Spanish. My aunt named her like that when she got her back in 2004 because of her beautiful blue eyes. I knew her from the very beginning, and we grew up together. We played, we hugged, she licked my face and my hands, I caressed her. She was not mine, but she was my baby all the same.
I just said goodbye to her. Yesterday she broke the ligament in one of her legs, and this morning she had an internal bleeding due to the wound. My parents woke me up to the news that Cielo was gone. I had been with her last night, caressing her as she licked my face. One last time. I'm really not ashamed to say that I've been crying on and off since I woke up. I know it's only been an hour, but I miss her so much already. She was funny, she was playful, she was loving, and we all player with her and loved her in return. She wasn't just a pet to me. She was family. And I will remember her like that, like that photo above that I took last night, as beautiful as ever. Goodbye baby. Former Delegate of the South Pacific
