I am just making it clear FROM MY KEYBOARD where I stand i all of this. First, it was ME and RAVEN that fought to get the ban in #the_south_pacific removed. I have NO issues with Asta being the founder because the neutrality she brings in dealing with things and from the politics de juor of the TSP government.
You talk of dealing with things "in the interest of TSP" but told me to go fuck myself when I suggested dual citizenship be banned here in the forum becuase YOU have citizenship elsewhere. And now it's not OK in the chat room? Look REAL hard. EVERYONE in that room including YOU are in every other CGR, defender and raider chat room on Espernet. It's the reality of the chat room that has ALWAYS been declared as not bound by the Charter. Never has it been. You weren't told "CYA, Go away! have I nice life!" You were told take a few days off and calm down. When the time comes, you will be asked if your ready to calm down and probably be let back in. Politics is such a little part of #the_south_pacific". It's a place we blow of steam and have fun. Half that room can't stand the other half in game, yet we all peacefully exist. It's only YOU that has an issue. You used language that I was PMed by people in the room they found offensive and it's a moderators role to deal with that. It's NOT your room. It's NOT the delegate's or regions room. It's a room that people that have interest in TSP come and have fun discussions not discuss policy. The Assembly,delegate, cabinet and SPSF already HAVE private rooms for all that.

If you want a channel that only has TSP's citizens in it I encourage you to go make one. The IRC chatroom has never been under the jurisdiction of the Charter, and I see no reason for it to start now.

I'm with Kris on this one. If anything, its a good place to chat with people from other regions. If your worried about certain things being disclosed on a public channel, then don't discuss them. Keep it on the forum or TG. TSP doesn't need a private IRC.
We do have some private channels, the Cabinet channel for instance, but those are too privately owned.

You promptly blew a gasket and told me to do certain thins upon myself. Or do you forget. I can post the logs you won't believe anyway.
There's a significant difference between wanting to close the region off from our own citizens and wanting a community zone where our citizens can chat without having non-citizens piling in to stir crap.
Except no one was "piling in to stir crap", and it is perfectly legitimate to let foreigners come to our channel. If you hadn't started insulting people in the first place, all would be good.

So what you're saying is we should encourage shit-posting - blaming it instead on the people who call Todd McCloud out? Todd continues to pull friends from Skype to blow topics out of proportion and nobody receives their due except the people who pick on Todd?
