Amendment to Article 6, Section 1 of the Charter, regarding CSS Nominations
#31

For the record, I was going to nominate myself, but Escade approached me about it before I had the chance to. After about 3 weeks of poking her with a fairly large, pointy stick, she made her nominations. Tounge

So that brings the grand total up to half a person? Tounge

This is kinda my point. And, in the same way -- to USR's original point -- it takes some ... gumption to nominate yourself. I mean -- Escade asked me about joining, but under few circumstances would I have nominated myself.

It would take less gumption (I mostly wanted to use that word.) to accept a citizen's nomination, as Escade's nominations prove.

The problem isnt our lack of (self-)nominations, its the need (or, lack there of) for such nominations... If there are plenty of CSS members, then theres no need to add more...

If the CSS doesn't need new or more members, they Assembly shouldn't vote 'em in. If the number of members isn't specified, that power should lie with the Assembly, not the delegate.

Strictly speaking I nominated myself when the CSS was originally created.

The CSS bothers me insofar as once elected there appears to be no mechanism for removing a member who may themselves become a threat - who watches the watchers?

We have this thing called a recall.
