In a shocking series of events, Admiral General Stewie Griffin has been disposed of in an internal coup by his Grand Marshall of the Treasury, Supreme Genius Dr. Moneyworth.

In a televised speech to the nation, the Grand Marshall declared the end of the Griffin regime and the installation of a new government, to be led by himself and a cohort of trusted lieutenants.

'The so-called 'Magnificent Supreme Leader of Earth' has decided, on his own accord, that it would be best for his health and wellbeing to take a step back from public affairs and rededicate his life to meditation.'

The new government has announced its intention to rename the country to Mojotojo.

In response to the announcement of the formation of the Federal Republic of Erinor and Sereva, Empress Hestia expressed her joy at the possibility of reconciliation between the Serevans and Erinorans, stating that she "fully intends to be a firm friend and trade partner to the Erinoran and Serevan peoples." Shortly after the press conference, witnesses claim the Empress was seen becoming sorrowful and muttering the following: "Oh, Yena... if only you could have lived to see this, my friend..."

Adaada Bodi, a former Bafuto Serevai high ranking official, was found dead today in Bayougrad, the capital of Bruuma where he had retired to. Bodi was due to be extradited in a few days for atrocities commited during the Serevan War. Bruuman officers labeled it as suicide, but there's suspect that he was murdered so he could not reveal the role played by Bruuman forces in the killings.

Frost Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Erinor and Sereva, Ren Kurono, relayed a statement from the Frost Empire pledging their support and friendship to the new Republic. The Ambassador was seen near a memorial of the late Ura'sia shortly afterwards, smiling wistfully as he expressed hope that his own country would be able to rise above the carnage of civil war and reconcile with each other like his host nation.

The interim cabinet of the FRES is due to meet formally today for the first time in Akhorn City Hall. Though they have committed to make no radical changes during their interim tenure, it is expected that the cabinet will discuss further practicalities for next month's federal government and presidential elections as well as reviewing final plans for the new federal government buildings.

The Bruuman Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declared that the police will not conduct any further investigation, stating that: "the death of Mr. Bodi has already been certified as a suicide" also revealing that "Mr. Bodi shot himself with his own gun, after leaving a note where he motivated his gesture by the impending extradition". The Ministry however has declared himself "willingful to cohoperate with the Federation on the investigation on Mr. Bodi's alleged crimes". Mr. Bodi's corpse will be sent to Sereva in a few days for burial.

In a press conference, Transsunerian president Emil Palmann announced his government's interest in seeking membership in the WF and the SPTO. He also said that Transsuneria is ready to provide help in "dealing with the chemical weapons" in Reizen, referring to its own experience with Sarin in the Second Transsunerian Civil War.
