Citizenship Law Amendment
#341

I am very much against the voting changes and will vote no on any attempt to change them.

Actually by my count 7-8 people have spoken against the rise in voting percentages or asked for a compromise percentage in the relevant thread here (http://thesouthpacific.x10.mx/thread-2522-page-8.html).

Why are you trying to conflate two separate threads? Why are you ignoring actual facts that can be pointed to in a thread where several people have been discussing the issue and 7-8 have clearly been against or trying for a compromise?

It doesn't behoove confidence or faith in a person when they try to call 7-8 attempting to discuss and come to some sort of compromise on an issue as two people shouting. That's the kind of purposeful demeaning and disregard of citizens that is appalling.

Trying to use one amendment that is close to reaching full support to push issues from another proposed change is not a great tactic.

I've said this before, want people to listen to you or at least work with you? Try working with them whether privately or publicly in a way that doesn't degrade them.

I'll redraft it below without the irksome sneaky changes.

This would be a bill without the changed percentages, and, for the sake of transparency, three changes of my own in red colour:

That makes senses, and I approve of the change. Smile

I do hope that Farengeto follows up on Aram's plan to look over the charter and code of laws piece by piece and make sure we're consistent.

#347

Which 50% + 1 margin?

The approval for members of the Council. I'd support the bill as written with a change to a 60% approval for members.
