On executive action
#21

I am also not sure telling Wolf is sensible. I think this decision is necessary, and telling him beforehand will only allow him more time to form arguments against it.

Honestly guys, I think talking to Wolf is the right thing to do. I don't think this action should really be that divisive, if handled properly.

With all due respect, tsu, I think you are underestimating the unprecedentedness of this action, and forgetting how vocal people have been about sitting Wolf even without formal action against it.

Honestly, it could still go south. But, if I reach out to him first, it *might* go south. If we post without going to him, it will definitively go south. I PM'd him on IRC tonight, but he was already gone. I think I'm going to send him a PM here and post it.

For the record, Aram said he too thinks this is a good idea. I'll be interested to see what the Court has to say. I hope it comes back with a quick ruling.

I'm glad Aram thinks this is a good idea. QuietDad and BW and Belschaft were yammering on about how Aram would 'set the cabinet right' and all of that nonsense.

I'll probably finish an outboard speech tonight on my departure.

I'd like some time to consider whether to appeal or not; the executive policy protects the right of appeal - so does mean that I'm not coerced into appealing right at this moment before the court finishes its rulings on the other day, yes? I'm supposed to have two weeks to decide whether or not I wish to appeal.

What are we appealing?

I might appeal the decision on my legal question.
