Sit in Lazarus
#71

Bit late, but I support it anyway.

Now the legitimate government is back in power in Lazarus, does this change our stance on the embassy removal with the Pacific? Based on the statement we released, we could argue that now the illegitimate government is gone, the reasons for the embassy removal are no longer relevant.

We're currently discussing what to do about The Pacific with other regions. Eluvatar makes a strong case that we should not reverse stances on the NPO. Nobody there has actually been punished. There's been no real changes in leadership or policy. We just can't trust that the NPO isn't simply trying to save face after losing.

GR: Who's "we" in the scenario?

And, I actually agree. I think we leave the ties severed until there is a change in leadership (at least).

Worst case? We lose relations with an inactive region.
Best case? We use toward Army recruiting and pushing a democratic agenda.

"We" is in reference to the conference group on the Osiris forums.

Belschaft approached me as TNP's Deputy MOFA (which it is utterly inappropriate for our ally to allow him to serve in that position--- wtf are they thinking???), asking what our NPO position is. He wants us to be united in not reinstating their embassy, and declaring NPO members persona non grata.

This is basically the plan Eluvatar floated already in Osiris.

Support.

I do have a CoI with my Non-WA Citizenship and RP Overseer masking.
