The announcement by Anastasia Glacé the space minister earlier today has left many Izaakians wondering what the fourth military service is. It has long been rumoured that a fourth branch has existed since as early as the Great War, however the government has never admitted its existence, and military budgeting is sealed in perpetuity,

The Powers relating to aristocratic appointments and dismissals have been retained by the President, who will use the system of honours to reward outstanding citizens of Izaakia.

The country is in intense patriotic fervor today as preparations for His Imperial Majesty's birthday on 9th August come underway. For the first time ever, the official palace residence of the emperor, Ieainstun Dierwink, will be open to the general public, though the public viewing will be restricted to certain rooms only. There will also be a celebration and a special performance at the Saint Habchidch Field located behind the palace. Sources from the imperial household say that the Emperor is also planning to host several foreign dignitaries and guests to a state banquet on the big day.

In other news, in a press statement released by Presidential House this afternoon, President Ahilm Abchoy commented that the government is monitoring the situation in Anserisa and in the Grand Duchy of Mauquibie, and hopes for a peaceful resolution in the situation regarding the Minister-President Raymond Doumergue.

Following the resignation of Noor Aqaba as Ambassador to the WF for the USI, the foreign office has appointed Gustave Graves as Ambassador to the WF until the end of Noor Aqaba’s term as speaker.

Vice-Prime Minister Barrett has stated that at the very latest, she hopes to return to work as Prime Minister by 31 October 2021, however, she is hopeful she will be able to return before then.

During campaigning for the Dirty City By-election, the National Action Party candidate, Sinéad Campos, has stated that, if elected, she will work with the Party Leader and the Government on establishing economic and social debates within 2022's Parliamentary Business. Incompetent Democratic candidate, Gary Santiago, said he will work to give 12-hour workers a 0% rise. Advanced Humanitarian League candidate, Jai Rush, said he will work with the Party Leader to outlaw live animal research.

During a campaigning event, where the six biggest Gianlucian parties have discussed foreign policy, five out of them were supportive of the WF. Only the far-right AVP advertised for a "GI-Leave".
As for the stance on Izaakia, parties considered to be more on the right-wing of the political spectrum (AVP, FPG, KPHA) were promoting a stronger partnership with Izaakia, while the Social Liberal and Left Party were against it. The Greens tried to stay in the middle. Chancellery candidate and foreign minister Sanddorn sees in Izaakia a potential strong ally, but also criticised their partially undemocratic behaviour and rhetoric on the world stage.
