The Imperial Governor of Reizen and several members of his cabinet were assassinated by Ultranationalists and junior cadets of the Hebi-Ori academy. No word yet on there demands or the Kensei administrations response although troop movement was detected near the Reizen garrison.
President Revan Kensei has issued martial law on the island of Reizen and has authorized the deployment of the Imperial sword, the imperial frost military to crush the ultranationalist rebels. The media blackout on the island has prevented journalists from discerning the motives of the murders and attempted seizure of local government
The Ura'sia has condemned the violence in Reizen and offered the Frost Empire the peacekeeping support of the Saratyarumarconin Erinead, the Erinoran Self-Defence Force.

Prime Minister Gidenhiemer and King Claudius have outright condemned the assassinations by the Ultra-nationalists, and is offering logistical support to President Kensei's operation.

The Leader Gianluca IV., the chancellor Schmidt and several other political personages, including the Foreign Minister Carlos, have condemned the assassinations.
Gianluca, Schmidt and Carlos are "standing fully behind the Frost Empire" and are calling upon the government to choose their next steps carefully and not too hastily.

The government of the United Kingdom condemns the assassinations while also expressing concern over the media blackout. Chancellor Harrison said, "Without the media, the people's oversight of the situation is severely limited. Human rights violations could be covered up."
Noting the current turmoil in the Frost Empire the PSE suspended trading for Frost citizens today and trading on any corporations located within the Frost Empire. The board is currently meeting to determine when trading will resume. The market took an 85 point hit by the time trading closed for the day.

Prominent ultranationalist leader Shishio Hojo has denounced the violent murders by other ultranationalist organizations on Reizen island. Meanwhile the government released a statement thanking the international community for its support but has declined on offers of logistical or physical support as The Imperial Frost marine corp has responded rapidly against the civilian ultrationalist organization, The Eternal Frost army, several rogue Army soldiers and rogue cadets,
The Media blackout and insurgency over Reizen Island is over, the insurgents with the exception of the cadets have all been killed in action, with no word yet on the circumstances of their deaths. The total death toll excluding the governor and his staff is 32 civilians, and 40 rogue soldiers. 28 cadets have also been taken into custody.
