The Government have changed their minds again. They will not be phasing the country back to work, they will keep the country on a total lockdown until there is virtually nothing left of GID-20. Prime Minister Barrett has asked that cleaners work more regularly in all their places of work starting tomorrow. All cleaners are to clean all surfaces in all public buildings at least 3 times per day. They are not to touch surfaces just in case, they should be protected. Prime Minister Barrett has also told employers if they do not have enough staff to carry out this work, they should employ more staff. Essential workers will continue to work. Travel is to be only for essentials. Exercise is permitted up to 3km from home only. A list of essential work approved by the Government is expected to be finalised this week.

Ryccia has confirmed its first case of GID-20 after a Ryccian expat attempted to return home. The expat was tested and was found to have the disease. The patient is now under quarantine in a military base in Seylitch, and the entire city is now under military lockdown by land, water and air. Anyone attempting to enter or leave the city for non-emergency purposes shall be shot on sight and arrested.

Former Prime Minister Mark Dixon has become a grandad today for the first time. His son Greg Dixon and his girlfriend Cleo Fisher have welcomed baby Taylor Dixon to the family.

President Elliott has called on the Government to asses mental health during their weekly GID-20 Parliamentary sittings. He has also released a list of his top 10 films to watch in lockdown.

It is rumoured that Prime Minister Barrett could call a snap election as soon as the pandemic has been managed and a vaccine or other suitable drug found and be stepping down. It is rumoured the Speaker of Parliament Dr. Johnathan Wallace would step down with her. The Prime Minister and the Speaker have dismissed these rumours as fake news.

The result of the 2020 Holy Freean election is out.
With the Freean Nationalist party winning the most seats in the House of Representative (128 seats)
But not enough to win the election so the Freean Nationalist Party forms a coalition government with the Freean Conservative Party called the 'Nationalist Coalition' bringing up the number of seats to 182
With the new Prime Minister Samanala Porsled as the head of the coalition.

President Elliott has appointed Vicki Berry as Vice-President. This is not a move anyone saw coming and all eyes are now on the President.

President Elliott has used Executive Orders to remove the President's ability to call snap Presidential Elections. In 2000, President Dawson used Executive Orders to introduce regular compulsory Presidential Elections every 7 years and to limit the amount of full terms each President can have to prevent the country ever becoming a dictatorship. President Elliott says he removed the snap elections from the President because they're unnecessary, they're a waste of money which could go into worthwhile projects and the 7-year elections do the job. He says that if a President steps down before the end of a term, either the Vice-President or Chancellor should become President to finish out the term and then elect a new President.
