Campaigning in the Dirty City By-election continues for four more days. National Action Party candidate Sinéad Campos has stated that, if elected, she will declare her opposition to abortion and same-sex unions and will campaign to rid the country from the 'weapon' that is emergency contraception. People's Action Party candidate Idrees Larson has stated that, if elected, he will promote pragmatism, meritocracy and multiracialism. Borders Party candidate Zoya Moon has stated that, if elected, he will respond to community need and promote regionalism.

Meanwhile, the results of the World Forum Membership Referendum continue to be counted. The result will be announced this evening.

The pressure is on for President Ahilm Abchoy as he prepares for his re-election campaign after serving as the acting president for 3 years since the death of President Nick Forb in 2018. It will be an especially hard time for the incumbent as he tries to maintain the public's confidence in his handling of the ongoing situation in Adigniru. He will be facing off 3rd-time presidential nominee Ziedcho Obidiein as his main rival, along with candidates from the other major parties.

The presidential elections will determine who gets to become the head of the government of the empire for the next 5 years. Campaigning will officially commence on the 1st of September, and the elections will be held in early December. It is expected to cost the government 1.3 billion teigns to hold the elections.

With no choice of keeping the current flag, the Federal Minister of Internal Affairs has come under fire. As of Currently, Ashana Harperez, Independent, of the 43th seat of congress is gathering signatures to redo the ballot of the referendum. Which may lead to a redo of the aforementioned referendum. The President has ceremonially called for the referendum to be considered null and void. But the Chancellor has not called for it yet. The current opinion polling is on keeping the current flag, Nothing has come out from the Federal Minister of Internal Affairs.

Defence Committee Spokesman Kadiv Dailimnw had revealed in a press briefing this morning that the Imperial Army had fully withdrawn from Adigniru, leaving the Grand Duchy under the control of the Anti-Imperialism Liberation Army. The Army’s only position of prohibiting the AILA from expanding any further is the encirclement of the island territory with the help of the Imperial Navy’s dinghies. There have been no signs of communication with the locals in Adigniru since the withdrawal.

The Gianlucian Foreign Ministry shows concern over the situation on Adigniru: "We do not need another Reizen or Serevan War. If the parties are willing to do so, GI-Land offers to get everyone at a table to negotiate a diplomatic solution, e.g. at the World Forum or in trilateral talks here in Atlantis."
