The Gianlucian parliament has passed the ratification of the amended WF-Charter as expected by most political experts. The votes came mainly from the government coalition, whereas a majority of the Conservatives (KPHA), Liberals (FPG) and all Leftists (LGI) have voted against the motion.

In a stunning upset, the government has lost the vote to ratify the WF amendments in the legislature. Analysts are not sure why some coalition MPs voted against the government. Some rumours are surfacing that some high-ranking military officers are threatening and blackmailing Ryccian lawmakers to puppet them, although this has yet to be proven.

Finance Minister Amadeus Pond announces that aviation fuel taxes, VAT, and environmental taxes on flights will be scrapped for all internal flights between the Home Nations and Izaakia by Unification Day on the 1st of August 2022. The cuts in taxes are expected to reduce the total cost of a flight by around 60%, in what Dr Pond described as a small price for the treasury to pay to rebuild the bond between our peoples.
