In a Surprising Move, King Joshua VII himself has called for the Emeraldian Government to recognize Nova Colradia as an Independent Nation. Emeraldian Prime Minister Aidan Streams and his loyal gov't officials has refused and called "The King a puppet to the Union Government". In response to this, Acting Denverian President Richard Ferald has called the Emeraldian Government "Traitors to Democracy" and has agreed(Along with Spiras and Ludville) to send Election observers to Nova Colradia.

Stoinian Task Force Denver has also arrived in the war-torn nation. The 2nd Paratroopers Brigade is engaged in guerrilla warfare surrounding Fort Halsey and making significant gains while 2nd Mechanized Brigade and the 1st Motorized Infantry Division have already mopped up one of the remaining communist enclave west of Paultown.

Gen. Valeriu Codreanu, Stoinian Defence Minister, has confirmed Task Force Spiras has gained significant ground in Spiras taking Little Sedunn and mutliple military bases. Ground forces also have arrived west of the Spiry river as Mountain Hunters retook Spiri. Air elements continue to bombard nationalist air bases as Stoinia exerts air superiority.

Today between 8 am and 6 pm all eligible voters in GI-Land are asked to participate in the first "Referendum Day" based on the latest Citizens' Assembly, which decides on several constitutional amendments for GI-Land. Those include a possible new name for the nationstate as well as an abolishment of the dictatorial democratic system. First results are expected to come in the earliest at around 7 pm.

National and international electoral observers have reported a - for GI-Land - higher than usual voter turnout. As of 12:15 pm 41.3% of eligible voters have already participated in the referendums. During the last Königspalast elections only 32.9% of eligible voters have been voting until that time.

After multiple adjournments due to vote counting problems, the vote on the civil service has been held and the law has passed with surprising 220 votes for Aye 206 for Nay and 2 Abstentions, which means that the coalition must have recieved support from the opposition members.
The civil service will go in effect in six months time, giving the institutions time to prepare.

A bill proposing mainly the implementation of a unilateral free trade policy in selected sectors and the abolition of port tax and duties in selected major ports has entered its first reading in the Federal Diet this morning during a parliamentary session.

A campaign has been started online to change the name of the country from "Technocratic Republic of Eflad" to just "Republic of Eflad". The campaign stated that this is necessary to show Eflad as a more inclusive country and as a mean to "de-technocraticise" the nation.
In Eflad a national plebiscite is possible with some requirements: 
1. A quorum must reach at least 30 000 people.
2. If the quorum reaches 30 000 people, a "national request" needs to be approved by at least a tenth of the registered voters.
3. If the national request reaches a tenth of the registered voters, and the ministry of the interior checks for legitimacy, it is allowed for a plebiscite.
4. The plebiscite is held on a national level, and is adopted on a simple majortiy basis
