Discussion on an International Arms Reduction and Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty
#11

We are dubious about this. We will join in the discussion, but reserve the right to withdraw in the event that the clauses get unreasonable.

We will discuss when a first round of negotiations can begin as soon as Kringalia weighs in.

As a nation that does not possess nuclear weapons, but does have the technological capability to build them, and is strongly concerned with the proliferation of nuclear weapons, Scienta would like to participate in discussions to such a treaty as well. We are particularly interested in discussing the following possible items in any treaty such as this:

1) The rights of non-nuclear weapon states to research and build nuclear weapons.
2) Any articles of the treaty that may effect research and construction of nuclear weapon related technologies, including but not limited to; nuclear reactors, rocketry, and anti-ballistic missile technology.

Qvait hears Scienta's concerns but advises to voice them after Kringalia weighs in and a date is set for a first round of negotiations of this treaty.

Just to clarify, how many nations possess nuclear arms in the South Pacific? I am aware of Ryccia, Kringalia, Sporaltyus & Aquicia, and the VPRB.

Qvait is one of those nuclear states, however cannot account for other nations. Qvait hopes to make the treaty vast as to require all signatory nations to announce their status as either a nuclear state, non-nuclear state, or a state about to become nuclear.

Sedunn would also like to take part in these discussions.

(OOC: I was actually just about to post a map showing just what nations possess nuclear weapons, but it doesn't work.

According to the map, Ryccia, Qvait, Sporaltryus and Darkstrait all possess fully operational nuclear weapons, while it is a secret whether Bruuma has any. I'm unaware of any Kringalian possession.)

OOC: It's my autocorrect. It recognizes words that I've used on it before. Haven't used Sedunn(Until just now) but I've used Sedunnic.
