While I do have referred to RL nations in previous fluff posts (i.e. national dishes), in these I have kept it deliberately vague, speaking only of a monarchic Motherland from where the colonists came and of foreign Communist nations supporting the rebels. No RL nations mentioned.

As far as using the Royal Navy flag, since the UK does not exists in the TSP then technically that's not a British flag ;-) .

They could be nations from the Northern emisphere, that may have even only interacted with Bruuma in the whole TSP. They can be TSP nation of the unoccupied plots of the map. To me, it is not relevant. But ousting out of canon my nation's history basically force me to rewrite the whole concept from scrap. Which is an effort that frankly I would not be willing to make.

Yeah, I noticed Smile

There are two things that make it appear non-canon. One thing, like Seraph said, is the implication of a British Empire (mainly by the colonial flag), and then the reference to two Great Wars starting the same years as the RL ones. (In our main canon there was a Great War between 1949 to 1955.)

Flags changed, Second Great War turned into the Border War. Could it work this way?

I didn't mean you had to change, just intended to point out the things that made me think it was outside our main canon.

The flag looks great. If you want to make a reference to the TSP Great War, it ended in 1955. There could also have been several different wars with that name as well, if you want the Great War in your text to be a different one (occurring before 1939 or 1921, as implied by the chronology of your text).

No, it is fine this way, I'd rather be sure it stays in canon ;-)
