@GI-Land: *serves coffee*

@Resentine: *gives him the entire bottle* That will do.

@Ryccia: Don't ruin it! At least they're making progress Sad

You don't see cartels sitting down with the Colombian government, eh? Rebels are a different story, and Idk if Mexico has any rebel groups, if at all

It is progress, but not enough, and it is very slow. In a worst-case scenario, this might take decades.

Well, what do you suggest then? They got the biggest group to accept a peace deal, and, with the exception of the ELN, most remaining groups are only a couple hundred strong and/or drug cartels. Colombia's conflict is not the giant civil war some people believe it is.

The Zapatistas are still ongoing? I thought that was over!

And, eh, still, cartels are not rebels. They will never negotiate.

The Zapatistas technically still exist, but the Mexican government mostly lets them be, as they are only limited to a few villages in a single state, and don't actively fight the government anymore.

As for the Colombian cartels, yeah, those guys are not going to negotiate, but I wouldn't consider them part of the conflict unless they have also political goals. Most of the overtly political groups have already demobilized.

When I have the chance, I want to try to spend some time in some ER's. I want to see the ER in Mexico, heard that it's hectic there. The ER in Colombia too.
