Might consider. Heck I'd go anywhere to study at university than Singapore. More prestige and less competitiveness . I mean have you seen the huge multibillion dollar tuition industry singapore has ? Plus I really want to see how life is like when you are not part of the majority (Not racist, just interest after hearing daily activites from Chinese relatives reigning from Europe, Oceania, Africa and the Americas)

You will probably still be subjected to banjection even if your nation CTE's and is then revived (I'm still not sure if it's legal for you to be here). I believe there is a system for parole, but I don't remember exactly how it works.
