But, if it isn't affirmed, it automatically triggers a GC.

Great Councils are only convened if someone convenes them, not is the Charter is somehow deemed invalid.

Well, this all sounds like semantics to me.

Not really. The Charter can be deemed invalid, but if nobody calls for a Great Council, there won't be one. I mean, I'm not going to argue over the technicalities of this, and I'm sure that if the Charter were declared invalid someone would definitely call a Great Council, or find another solution. I'm just saying that they are not exactly the same.

Technically, no, but, for all intends and purposes, it is. This Assembly has already proven it's more or less incapable of 'findin' another solution,' and, if this discussion is extrapolated onto a Great Council, the results are likely to be disastrous for the Charter.

No. If this Charter fails at the vote -- then we would need to go back and "reconstruct" the Charter step by step as Bels has suggested. However, since this is only over some minor typos, I don't imagine this should fail.
What if the individual amendment at vote fails, but the Charter passes?

Then -- that's fine. What we would have to do is go find the original charter and then add all of the amendments to it.
Actually, we wouldn't. The easiest way to resolve it is to simply put the entire Charter - illegal amendments included - to vote.
I don't exactly like condoning illegal activity like that, but it would be a solution. Minister of Media, Subversion and Sandwich Making
