[OOC]History of Karnetvor
#11

Chapter IV is up! I had the luck to have a computer at hand, so made some maps, including that one, with MS Paint while I could. I also made some flags, nothing too elaborate, as coats of arms and more complex stuff are still out of my range, but they'll have do for now (I'll post them in a special chapter). That thing can be pretty useful at times Tounge

Comments, as always, are welcome Happywide

An Alexander started Karnetia's golden age, and an Alexander ended it. 10/10, would Trade War again.

Good read, as usual. Although, as a Swede, I can't stand the sight of Tsar Peter I Tounge

Pleased to see Erinor getting its first canonical mention in someone else's history. And such a civilised one, too!

Literally only noted that right before posting. I quite like the irony of it xD

As we had talked about both countries having a Silk Road kind of thing between them, I figured Erinor could have brought something new to Karnetia. I thought tea, as I knew this continent had it (Hammerstar has it, but with that country's isolationism and the fact that it is surrounded by tall mountains meant that it wouldn't have worked for that reference).

Well, I have posted the special chapter. What do you think? Should I post future Special Chapters in the main thread or create another thread for that purpose?

As I said before, all those flags are RL flags either copied verbatim or modified with MS Paint. The first flag of Karnetia is a (heavily modified) flag of Scotland for example. Surprisingly, I actually managed to create some coats of arms too (of course, merely changing the colors of existing ones and adding stuff to them); for example, the one in the royal flag there is the coat of arms of Belgium, with the colors changed. I "made" two more, but I'll reveal them later, as they're not relevant yet Tounge

I think your special chapters are similar to the sidebar type chapters I've included in A Brief History of Erinor, which I believed worked well in the overall flow and I think this special chapter does too.

Magic of paint! I too think it works well within the existing thread.
