Oh for fucks sake.

I'm not going to shame you for taking a vacation. RL > NS, no question. BUT, you could have said so beforehand, because then we (the Cabinet) would have done a speedy initial appointment instead of carrying you along as a stopgap measure.

And now, we're in a pickle. We can't do a speedy appointment as Tim is gone over the holidays, and lots of people will want to sign up during those very holidays.

Selecting the committee was obviously going to take longer than a day or two.

You could have given us a date at least. Or just refused outright, whatever. We would have accommodated somehow had we just bloody known.
