Because they are. There is no one single cohesive TSP. There are people are post on the RMB a lot, but don't care about joining the forums. There are people who are very active on the forums, but rarely post on the RMB. There are people who don't care to do either, and instead like doing their own thing elsewhere.

The discussions that happen on the forums are not interwoven into the RMB. The RMB discussions are never talked about on the forums. Nobody elects government members on the RMB. Nobody on the forums submits an Assembly bill through the RMB.

These are two completely separate websites, with vastly different memberships. If somebody in the RMB community wants to come to the forums, they are very welcome! But they have to come here to be here! I wouldn't post on the forums if I wanted to participate in an RMB discussion!

I think if you ask people who don't care about the forums if we have two separate communities, under one TSP banner, they wouldn't find anything surprising about it. That's just the reality of how this game is set up.

It is true in a lot of UCRs but particularly true in feeders.

Until offsite forums and the NS site merge seamlessly, or we get rid of offsite government altogether, it DOES have to be.

We have two separate communities in TSP. That's just a fact. There's nothing to change that, unless the NS developers decide to create NS forums that integrate seamlessly with the region. By having off site forums, we created two communities, so it's pointless pretending that we're still one TSP.

Saying that there are two communities isn't degrading either. It's merely recognizing reality. Asking people to be active on the forum community in order to, well, be active on the forum community, isn't degrading to the RMB community. I don't really get why you see it that way.

Perhaps the Forum Community should move/create a region that consists of nations that are active in the forum? That way it can truly claim to be representative of the region it purports to represent

Or we could just stop ignoring how all large regions work in this game, and pretending that there's ever been parity in onsite and offsite communities?

I think "parity" is the wrong word. Every region in NS has the same issue of only a small number of members joining the offsite forum and participating in government. As a percentage of population our rate is as good or better than every other GCR except TNP. The reality is that you can't force people to participate, only encourage and enable then to do so.

It's not two communities, but rather a sub-set of of one.

This. I couldn't have said it better.

I do not participate in the regional server, but I am happy to talk through instant messaging or on the forum.
